  1. I've added Room Shaper to my Roon setup. It has really transformed my music listening experience. The bass is so refined that I could not believe its the same speakers (Salk Sound SS8). Here is my audio chain Roon Core (Win 10 PC)->VB-Cable(WASPI)->Foobar(VST Plugin, Recorder 192/24)->ultraRendu(MPD/DLNA)->Schiit Yggy DAC->Freya+Preamp->Amp Currently there is no way to send source sample rate to DAC using Foobar2k and all the input is converted to sample rate of Recorder (192/24) in FB2k. However VB-Cable has Internal Sample Rate of max 96Khz. In Windows Sound Control I've set it to 192/24. Does it down converter to 96/24 and then to 192/24? If yes is there any other option to prevent double conversion? I have tried Hi-Fi cable with ASIO bridge and ASIO OFF but I get garbled voice
  2. I upgraded UltraRendu to 2.7 last night and after rebooting uR is stuck in solid RED Led status. The network LED blinks correctly but uR LED does not go to solid Green even after power cycling it. I used http://sonicorbiter.com to find my ultraRendu but no luck. uR is powered by LPS-1 set to 7V which is powered by HDPlex LPSU. I also tried connecting uR directly to HDPlex but it still stays solid RED. I've check LPS-1 and its working correctly. I think the upgrade has failed and the software is corrupt on micro SD Card. Can someone please let me know if its just a SD card replacement or i need to send uR for repair?
  3. Many people have asked the same questions for past few months and have not received any response. I guess the answer is in the silence
  4. Any update on how Sonore PSU compares with LPS-1? Will appreciate your feedback.
  5. I bought the Cardas Adapter to compare it with Hard Adapter, AQ Carbon and Triode Wire Labs Dongle. Here is system setup in dedicated theater room with acoustic treatments I used mR in both Roon and HQPlayer mode to evaluate the cables. Synology NAS->Router->Netgear Switch->Supra Cat 8Cable->mRendu->Oppo HA-1->Salk Soundscape 8's When I got mR a month ago I connected with hard adapter and I was simply impressed by mR performance. Lots of details, clarity and bass was a bit fuller but I was looking for more. I replaced hard adapter with AQ Carbon (1.5m) and the top end even improved more but had a more sizzle to it and the bottom end was a bit less fuller than hard adapter. Then I replaced Sonore Adapter and it further improved the clarity and mid bass and bass stayed the same as AQ but I can live with that. I then tried Triode Wire Labs Dongle (9") that sound terrific. The top was much smoother and bass was perfect to my liking not too heavy and not too light. If I did not hear TWL I would have happily lived with Cardas Adapter but that's also system dependent. Oppo HA-1 is little edgy in my system so TWL is a good fit but if I had a warm DAC I would prefer Cardas Adapter. Also Cardas is much cheaper than TWL so it’s a no brainier if it works in your system. I would rank them in order of preference TWL Cardas Hard Adapter AQ Carbon
  6. I agree this would be really helpful to have this included in the impression.
  7. Thanks for the assurance. I'll rest easy now. I use iFi with Furman IT-Ref20i Power Conditioner with isolated Bank and have not noticed any hum. I also have HDPlex LPS as a backup source.
  8. I did not order Meanwell SMPS with LPS1 as I was planning to use iFi. This comment worries me and want to order Meanwell SMPS. Is it possible to add Meanwell SMPS to the existing order?
  9. I have both HDPlex 100W and iFi SMPS 9V. What would you use to power UltraCap for microRendu?
  10. I was refreshing the page a min before and even with all the autofills I got order #55. Man this things went fast. I hope we don't have to wait long to receive it.
  11. I guess I'll have to try one myself. Thanks for the impressions.
  12. I'm planning to try various short link cables from Curious , Triode Wire labs mR Dongle etc & would like to know if you had any other after market cable before trying the Sonore/Cardas USB adapter? I'll also try Sonore/Cardas USB adapter if i get a chance.
