  1. A Auralic Aries LE issue would like to know if I am alone to have it ... When I change or pause song Streaming Qobuz , My DAC is losing connection with streamer which is create an unlock in my DAC ( Marantz SA14 ) and activate amplifier switching relay ... i don't believe the the relays on Marantz PM 14 are designed to be open close continuously . i asked Auralic Xuanqian Wang who nicely replied to my question and It is not possible for software reason to like open an empty file with white noise while pausing or changing tracks in order to not lose connection with DAC. I will ask Marantz for the PM relays but it is quiet sad to realize that afterward ... my Chromecast even gapless was not triggered the amplifier relays when stoped . thanks for help.
  2. Thanks for answers , I bought a Auralic Aries LE and now I regret my Chromecast . it is pity that no one made measurement on bridge or Chromecast to have factual to measure
  3. Thanks for the links, yes I read most of these and the comment below sum it up well, but the conclusion is rather subjective : "It's not high end by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not meant to be high end. In addition to testing, I listened to the Chromecast Audio a little bit and think it sounds like a good $35 audio device. Most people on the planet will be 100% satisfied with the sound quality" I am looking more for a formal lab test a la Hi-fi news connected to whatsoever DAC, my question is what is the "sound quality " of the 24/96 we received ? Eventually Do I have to buy a Auralic Aries mini or apple or value for money 25 $ is not that big ? Marantz SA14 S1 & PM14 S1 Special edition KEF LS50 Nordost blue heaven ( source, speaker, power, USB, QBase4) Chromecast Audio Audirvana, A+, mac book pro
  4. I saw here in the spec of AKM AK4430 192kHz 24-Bit Stereo DAC in the Chromecast Audio http://www.akm.com/akm/en/file/datasheet/AK4430ET.pdf So why it is limited at 96 KHz ? I never any see a true technical reviews on this device to stream 16/44 comparing to Auralic Aries mini ( cost benefit ) Too cheap to be reviewed ? Marantz SA14 S1 & PM14 S1 Special edition KEF LS50 Nordost blue heaven ( source, speaker, power, USB, QBase4) Chromecast Audio Audirvana, A+, mac book pro
  5. To your first question , yes from purchased material from Qobuz , directly from iPad to Chromecast ( everything above 96 is down Sampl) for the second question, i never tried as I use USB for computer to listen above 96 purchased or DSD with Audirvana Check your DAC ? Optical in limit ? Marantz SA14 S1 & PM14 S1 Special edition KEF LS50 Nordost blue heaven ( source, speaker, power, USB, QBase4) Chromecast Audio Audirvana, A+, mac book pro
  6. Yes 96 kHz which is the limit of my Chromecast Audio Marantz SA14 S1 & PM14 S1 Special edition KEF LS50 Nordost blue heaven ( source, speaker, power, USB, QBase4) Chromecast Audio Audirvana, A+, mac book pro
  7. Thanks Jud for the link looks great , will study this while Santa is fabricating my new MacBook Pro If I want to listen Qobuz streaming in DSD I would need it Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile
  8. Jud, thanks for help yes I saw your previous post, early 2008, I will retry with 2.6 but I don t feel confident to have my temperature rising at 94 deg C Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile
  9. Damien if it is not too much to ask could you tell for a given release what is the minimum Geekbench score ( single core or multi ) needed to run PCM to DSD of A+? Guess I would have to wait to buy a new computer to use this very cool feature with Qobuz. I still have my SACDs and Native DSD download Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile
  10. First a "grand Bravo " to Damien for his work , really impressive I got some problems with my CPU % load but more cooling , I read the first 38pages of this post and thanks to Jud I tried few things but my CPU is still above 90 deg C... I have a Mac book pro early 2008 with 2,5 ghz core duo running OSX 10.11.3 Connected to Marantz PM 14 SE DAC Am I too short in CPU power ? , I tried A0 , 1,5 Go buffer upas poling 16/44 to DSD64 Ect but still , my fans are clean. Something I notice when I stop DSD up sampling I got from A+ 32 / 352.8 which my DAC is not taking ...? When I am not up sampling I have 32/44 in A+ instead of 16/44 ....? Thanks for hep, Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile
