  1. The MU1 talked to the dac via AES or spdif, so it downsampled to 24/192 as that was the limit of those connections. I haven't seen mention of what the MU2 does playing from the internal SSD, with the dac included AES or spdif cease to be the limitation. The hardware PDF says Clock specifications: • Internal intrinsic clock jitter < 0.6 ps RMS (> 10 Hz). • Can slave to 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz based digital sources of 1FS, 2FS and 4F Do things still top out at 192?
  2. Had a look at the Wavelength site and it doesn't say what this unit can cope with. 24/192? 24/384? 24/more?
  3. Following up on (b) I tried Chrome and the message that came back was This site can’t be reached 192.168.xxx.yy refused to connect ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
  4. Brilliant, thanks The options in that dropdown were in Japanese so I had no idea!
  5. I have brought a GS2016/A and a GS2016 in from Japan. They have been converted to run on 12V external linear supplies and are already making Quboz streaming sound vastly better. Reclocking to come. a) I have got into the admin screens on the 2016/A and reset the ports to 100 mb/s, but a lot of what comes up is in Japanese and I haven't found a setting to change it to english. Does it require a firmware update? b) I can enter the IP address of the 2016 but it comes back with unable to connect. And I can't click on it in the list of devices the router is attached to. I can click on the 2016/A there and access the admin screens. Might be locked down. Anyone solved this? Ta
  6. Thanks for the mention of the eRED-DOCK. It is doing what my second Summus server does (ethernet input, reclocked spdif and I2S outputs) but probably electrically far quieter than a computer
  7. My 230531 Summus library machine upgrade didn't go to plan, but it has been tidied up now. Arthur Power told us this a few days ago: "The latest version of Euphony now contains the 'Summus mode' with all of its optimizations. However, if you are doing a clean install on a Summus (first or second gen) the 'Summus mode' has to be enabled. You will need to contact Euphony support to help you with this." I updated the final v3 to V4 230228 using the upgrade within Euphony, expecting the optimisations to be applied. When Euphony was looking at my situation they established that I had not picked up the Summus optimisations during that upgrade. Something had gone wrong. I asked how you could tell and Zeljko said "Summus customization are live if you have SUMMUS logo in the top bar". Worth knowing.
  8. While Summus servers are the topic of dicussion, what power supplies are you using? I've got three linear supplies, and they all sound different - Plixir 19v, Farad 19v and an AMB 19v (with Rcore transformer). The AMB originally replaced a HDPlex on my old Windows Server 2019 machine, and lifted dynamics considerably. The Plixir is less lively than the AMB, and the Farad is quite dull. So I have the AMB on the endpoint machine, and the Plixir on the library server. If I swap them around the sound changes. The joy of trying power supllies off the shelf.
  9. Would have been an excellent idea to email all Summus one owners and tell them that this version is available, what the improvements are, and perhaps incentivise them into the subscription era with a first year discount.
  10. Thank you Louis. I did not understand that from the reply I got.
  11. No, I was not expecting a free version for Summus If you read the initial reply "we still did not release SUMMUS version of Stylus 4 software. So DIY version can be applied to SUMMUS hardware, but without optimizations - right now. So I recommend you to wait for SUMMUS release of software" They were going to do a version that preserved or enhanced all the setup they had done on the Summus servers. And they recommended waiting for it. Well it hasn't happened, and they are not answering questions on whether any of what they have done will be lost if the usual V4 is used.
  12. I'm running a pair of first edition Summus servers with Euphony 3 Last year I asked whether the optimisations on the machines would be lost upgrading to V4 I was told a Summus specific version of Euphony would probably be out by the end of 2022, and to hold off "we still did not release SUMMUS version of Stylus 4 software. So DIY version can be applied to SUMMUS hardware, but without optimizations - right now. So I recommend you to wait for SUMMUS release of software. It should be out until end of this year" I followed up this week and was told "Latest v3 update avalable has option to auto upgrade to v4. so you need to upgrade first to newest v3, then select upgrade to v4" Nothing about optimisations. Nothing about Summus. So I tried again "So what happens to the setup you did on the machines if I go to DIY v4?" And was told "new upgrade offered is summus 4 software" Hmmm. Not now you support hardware or sell subscription software.
  13. I'm thinking of adding a Sotm switch, giving me three network components: - fibre termination box - router - switch I've got two linear supplies unemployed, which two of those would you prioritise to improve streaming? Ta
  14. Would have been interesting if you had tested the Statement playing without Roon A quote from one of the responses in the Innuos 2.0 thread "No afraid I never tested Roon + Squeezelite on InnuOS 1.x. My system was delivered by the dealer with Roon active, but after I tried and compared it to InnuOS I switched off Roon and haven’t been back, given that I’ve read nothing on the internet to encourage me."
  15. I've got a DAVE and an MScaler, but don't prefer the MScaler or HQPlayer I've moved from Roon+HQPlayer to Jplay femto connected to the DAVE with a JCAT reference USB I'm also using a CEC TL5 belt drive CD transport connected to the DAVE with a Blackcat TRON BNC
