  1. How much faster (per disc) is this method vs. the PS3 method?
  2. Reporting back to say that iOS 10.0.1 still has this issue. And I'm starting to think the cover art issue is getting even worse. Such a mess. If Apple didn't fix it with iOS 10, I'm starting to think they do not have any intention of doing so.

  4. Thank you for such a detailed response. So, it does sound like Roon is not right for me. If I only had 1-2 clients, I could probably make it work. But with so many players, and wife/kids used to interacting with full-blown Squeezebox ecosystems, it doesn't sound like a smart transition. And I guess I was being a bit optimistic about Apple Music support when I see that Sonos incorporates it. It appears there is an LMS plugin I will try. Just like many, I feel the pull of on-demand streaming content for casual listening, and it would be terrific to integrate this (better) into my local file library.
  5. I'm personally not expecting any SQ change/improvements via Roon, using my existing Squeezebox hardware. I'm not looking to make the jump from LMS to Roon unless I can get support for both 2.0 and 5.1 DSD/LPCM. I'm sure Roon has a nice UI and other things, but it's still not worth ripping out a "working" system, unless it can support 100% of my digital audio.
  6. Hoping this is a good thread to guide me, as a long time Squeezebox user looking to migrate to Roon for additional features and support. I'm wondering, is Roon right for me? Here's what I currently have: LMS running 24/7 on a Mac mini - always latest version of OS X/macOS Transporter x 2 Squeezebox Touch x 1 Squeezebox Classic x 1 Squeezebox Boom x 1 Squeezebox Radio x 3 various PiCorePlayers What I want to make sure I keep, switching to Roon: Full functionality of Squeezebox Radios and Boom, i.e. saving presets including Pandora iOS app that can also serve as a local player, including off my network/LAN (accomplished today via iPeng/SqueezePad) What I'd like to gain by switching from LMS to Roon: Support for gapless 2ch DSD files, even if that means transcoding to 24/88.2 PCM Support for gapless 5.1 DSD, even if that means using HDMI out of a Raspberry Pi, transcoding to PCM OK too. Nice to have: Potential support for Apple Music (long shot, one day?)
  7. OK, I must be a glutton for punishment because I just turned on iCML on my iPad. I loaded up a couple of dozen albums that I self-tagged and embedded artwork into. Sure enough, turning on iCML and choosing either Merge or Replace library with iCloud terribly screws up artwork Even worse, with iCML on, I simply cannot play many of my "somewhat obscure" tracks. They are simply grayed out with a message "Item Not Available - This time can't be played" error message when selected. Is this for real? Anyone using iCML has no way to listen to certain local tracks? Rant on/ I don't mind paying Apple $10 a month, but to no longer have access to my own tracks, and have my local music screwed with is just unacceptable, if I'm paying money /Rant off.
  8. So any updates on this? Without iCloud Music integration, I feel one is missing out on 50% of the totally Apple Music experience. I'm paying my $10/month for now, but I'm certainly grumbling about this frustration, until Apple offers a fix and stops screwing up my artwork.
