  1. They are not true SACDs or copies of true SACDs , rather upmixes made unofficially and sold on DVD as "SACD Rs" They are not made from SACD ISOs. There are plenty of them about , Lots of David Bowie Pink Floyd Alan Parsons Project etc. All unofficial fakes and not authored like a true scarletbook disc. You cant rip them using this process , you can copy them as ISOs with other programs , they usually are not protected. They play in most DVD players and Blu Ray players , quality varies as you can imagine , they are just bootlegs.
  2. There are no Robert Plant SACD's as far as I know. If there were I would have them , of if I'm wrong please let me know the catalog numbers so that I can get them. There were however some bootleg SACD Rs floating around on sale for a while , these of course , will not rip as they are "not a scarletbook disk" which is usually the message you get. The poster may unknowingly have one of these bootlegs.
  3. Definitely does not contain the CD layer. The ripped iso contains the DSD/SACD layer only. It will contain both stereo and Multichannel if present. The CD layer cannot be ripped to ISO No CD can be ripped to an ISO You must rip to another image format for CD such as BIN & cue file, or wav & cue file etc. You can use EAC or DBpoweramp and many other CD copy programs for that.
  4. You dont mention turning off autoplay in the Oppo menus. you say that once you hit the execute button, everything greys out for a few minutes then stops with nothing ripped. this is exactly what happens if autoplay is still turned on in the Oppo.
  5. In the Flesh is a 2 disc SACD set, both discs are dual layer containing stereo and multichannel. There is no CD layer, these are not hybrid discs. This title is a rare and at the time, one of the first dual layer SACD and at the date of release, circa 2001, forums were awash with complaints about the title stalling/freezing in some very expensive high end SACD players. It seems many SACD players could not handle the layer change properly at that time. I have ripped this on a 105D and can confirm both ISO,s come in at 6GB+
  6. Sonys eyewateringly expensive premium players like the NW-WM1Z can play back DSD files natively, so if youve got something like that then you just copy the files to it. If your player does not support DSD then you will have to convert.
  7. I have blood on the tracks columbia 2003 512350-2 From the 2003 16 album (17 disc) box set CH 90326 mofi edition UDSACD 2098 and 2003 Japanese edition MHCP 10010 all are genuine scarletbook and rip fine. There is a hooky version going around that uses the artwork from the individual 2003 columbia version that will not rip, it can be got on “SACD-R” which is actually a DVD-R burned from the ISO or via ISO download, neither will rip via ISO2DVD
  8. More specifically, the titles in question are bootlegs whereby DSD files are made from the alleged source and then packed into an ISO file. The original source was never an SACD disc which follows the official “ scarletbook specification”. There are quite a few bootlegs like this floating around, titles that were never officially released on SACD such as Led Zeppelin , Pink Floyd, David Bowie, etc. The ISO,s extracted from the real Bob Dylan SACD releases will have no issues, the bootlegs are another story.
  9. What album is this? I almost certainly have it. Tell me the title and I,ll see if I can reproduce the fault.
  10. ISO2DSD is definitely just a GUI It calls on "sacd_extract.exe" in order to work. To prove this , rename "sacd_extract.exe" to something like "test.exe" . Start the GUI , it loads up fine , select an ISO and press execute , nothing happens .....nothing will happen until you restore the original name of "sacd_extract.exe" So regardless of whether you are using the command line or ISO2DSD gui , the very same executable is being used. I have just tested this using version 7 on windows , same as yours. Time to move the troubleshooting steps onward and stop blaming the software , your issues lie somewhere else. As I have said , mine is fine. Can you give me a specific SACD title you are having trouble with , I have a large library , I may have that title , I will see if I can reproduce your problem ?
  11. I am using an Oppo 105D I have 800 + SACD's I have been using ISO2DSD for years and have no problems similar to yours I have also used SACD extract ISO's from both methods always turn out identical for me. I have also , and with the same title , burned the ISO to DVD R and ripped from the DVD R and the resulting ISO is once again , identical to the ISO ripped from the original SACD , this gives some level of confidence in the rip being bit perfect as it is reproducable. Notes. I use Jriver with Jremote to send/play back my ISO's and DSF files. All of my destination players are non decimating DSD capable playback devices with Sabre DACs They are Oppo 105D , Auralic Aries Mini , and Yamaha 3060 receiver. I do not convert to flac , this is decimation and is a problematic and lossy process , I see no point is doing this. If you are getting skips , distorts , look at your playback chain , I have had similar problems to yours in the past but can confirm that in my case the culprit was the playback software and methods I was using before Jriver. There is nothing inherently wrong with the way ISO2DSD rips the discs , Ive been following this thread since it started , and as far as I can see , there are many users using ISO2DSD without any problems.
  12. Ripping of SACD happens at approx 2mb/s to start with , inner disc , and approx 6-8mb/s at the end , outer disc. It is highly unlikely that switching to hard wire will be any faster than wi-fi. Some stereo only discs contain anything from 900MB to 1.5GB and take about 20 mins , some surround titles have 3.5GB approx and will take the best part of an hour to rip.
  13. For Reference , I Have re-ripped about 20 SACD's with My 105D that had previously been done with a PS3. I have checked , and in all cases , both ISO and extracted DSF files using ISO2DSD are identical.
  14. You need to copy the folder called autoscript with the 3 files inside onto the root of the USB stick. I tried it with just the 3 files first , and it didnt work , then dropped over the folder , and it worked. Is this you issue maybe ?
  15. Followed Kals instructions from post 129 and now have 3 ISO's on my PC. I'm using Oppo 105D with Latest Firmware. Excellent Stuff. Thanks Guys.
