I think the only Music Server could replace our Transports is Wadax Reference + PSU + optic Cable Taiko Extreme is second to Wadax but i think Computer playback needs Wadax Music Server

if you believe in measurements you should first measure effects of music on human brain. if you could not model ear/brain by mathematics then you never find why measurements are far from our brain response. if your brain react positive to a tube amplifier (5% THD) and it reacts negative to solidstate amplifer (0.00001% THD) then typical Audio Society measurements are not related to good sound.. I think Audio is Black Art and there is very very very limited real knowledge about relation of good sound and objective measurements . for example i hate balance cables, i prefer RCA (un-balance) cables , i never found any reason for that. theory says the balance is far better than rca but my ears say rca is better. i think most of the time (not all the time) measurements are opposite of good sound. check this : https://www.stereophile.com/content/audio-note-cd-41x-cd-player-measurements Audio note DAC measurements is not ideal . check this real monster : https://www.stereophile.com/content/weiss-dac202-firewire-da-converter-measurements weiss is super accurate , more accurate than120k$ dcs or msb . weiss measurements is ideal. but when you listen to them in a good high efficency speaker you can not enjoy weiss. I agree Audio note is not ideal under 100hz and weiss is better for bass and i agree the AN distortion limits the transparency in complex music like huge classic orchestra but we could find a way to improve AN DAC but i will not go for weiss. most of those ideal measurements kill music.

I think speaking about LP vs CD is more complex than we think. many thing in studios and record process are important in final result. I have heard very good CD (better than some bad LP records) and i also have heard very bad CDs. I also have heard very Good LPs (better than best CD records) and i also have heard very bad LPs. if you consider the average result overally i think old LP records are far better than modern digital records.

Thanks Marcin i will remove all jumpers to supply my berkeley from external psu. does it also lift the ground line if we remove jumpers? please add this feature to pdf manual , i never seen it in manual. The new beta version of firmware was good , please send me the final version after release.

It works without ground . i connected my PC to berkeley without ground line and without bus 5v. My poetable battery supplyed berkeley usb by 5.3 volt. It works but the sound was not good. The high frequency was out of control. after that the berkeley failed to power up by computer and i connected all of it’s grounds (input usb ground , chassis ground, xlr digital output ground) together to discharge any static voltage. then it is now ok but i think it’s sound is alittle bright .

i just do that for 5 minutes and my berkeley alpha usb has no problem that times but after disconnecting and connecting again the berkeley never sounded like past. now my berkeley works correctly but i have a sense that it's sound now is brighter , does it mean the lifted ground damaged my berkeley?

if you lift the usb ground then the usb will not work properly. does idefender cut the usb ground?
