  1. This isn't really an Allo question per se, it's how to install RoonBridge on Moode. I just tested an Rpi3 with the current version of Moode. You don't need to run any script, Roon Bridge is now listed below the Squeezelite renderer. Enable it, click "Set" and reboot the Pi. If you don't have the current Moode version I recommend you update that.
  2. The radio stations have been requested for years on the Audirvana forum, so that is a welcome addition. The kernel streaming option will be interesting to check out, and I couldn't hear the name on the recording but there is also a second upsampler being added besides SOX, fwiw. There's been so many negative comments regarding the new subscription model; I can't wait to demo this and see what's new. I don't mind a reasonable cost attached if it brings value. I still have the emails from some site called Computer Audiophile about thread updates for the new OSX audiophile player Audirvana, back in 2011. 🙂
  3. When it says "Failed to open Alsa device hw:1,0" the log you linked to also indicates "No such file or directory". I think I stumbled on this once. See if the alsa device was named otherwise, such as "hw: 1,1" and edit the config to match how it is detected. Being named other than "hw: 1,0" could generate that kind of error. Sorry if that's vague, but some google searches along these lines may help you to solve this.
  4. Adding a screenshot which seems to indicate integer mode is operating. No green indicator. Source is Tidal, one track MQA 24/96 and one track 16/44.1.
  5. Integer mode working or not ? Installed 3.5.1 (3530) yesterday, OSX 10.11.6 El Capitan. Migrated from A+ 3.2.16. In the previous version of A+ the "Int" text for integer mode would go green when in use. In 3.5.1 it does not. The "SysOpt" text does go green. I have Exclusive Access, Integer Mode, and Direct Access all selected. I have tried integer modes 1 and 2 with the same result. I wonder if integer mode is not working OR just the green highlight is not working. No changes in hardware made during this process. I checked debug info while playing a track, and it indicates HOG mode is on. Is there anything else to check ?
  6. It's an interesting device for sure. Anyone try AIFF files, of any bitrate ?
  7. Thanks Richard. I thought it strange since the only detail indicated on the patch was that it addressed some vulnerabilities with Quicktime. It's off topic but the latest security patch also stopped screensharing connections from my MacBook Pro (10.7.5) to the music server. The server seems fine as it still takes connections from a tablet. Fun times !
  8. So I guess your answer is "no".
  9. I've had Audirvana Plus running well on a Mac Mini with 10.8.4 for a while now and with the security update that was distributed the other day, it now crashes at startup. Anyone else have the same experience ?
  10. Not too long after I posted above, I started putting together a second system and went with Blue Jeans Belden 5T00UP 10 awg terminated. Very happy with the purchase, also picked up the LC-1 interconnect. Really good quality for the $$.
  11. The OP mentioned a price range of $300 - $400. I read a very positive review of cables marketed by Virtue Audio, and if I were looking, I'd be interested in checking them out. Well under $300. In my own case I was upgrading speaker cables this year, and considered ordering a well known brand from an online retailer who I've dealt with before. Decided to check out cables at a local retailer and he gave me a couple sets to try that were near my price range. I ended up demo'ing a total of 4 pairs, and one cable stood out plainly as the very best performer with my amp and speakers -Soundstring. Got to use them for a couple weeks, swapping back and forth. There was no contest, and though they were a bit more than I was looking to spend it didn't matter. I didn't want to go back to any of the other 3 pair having heard these. Or take a chance on shipping another set in, to find they might not perform as well. I don't know if my selection of cable would work for everyone. This particular cable I believe has the design and materials that just work well with my tube amp and speakers. They were north of $400, but you may be able to find a deal in the US if that's where you are located. I think these are US made. Anyway, that's my two bits worth.
  12. The MH 25.3 has a nice feature set. I think you did well on the price. Would be interested to hear how you like it once installed in your system.
  13. I reflected on my use of Audirvana, and the benefit I get. So I am in with a donation as well.
  14. Thanks Damien. I've been enjoying Audirvana, it works well with my system.
  15. What a post. Would hate to see the one where the OP was "greatly" disappointed in CA. I'm sure members here will be jumping at the chance to help out.
