  1. I picked up a Wavelenght Proton from Stereo Exchange a few weeks ago and have been loving the improved sound coming from my set up. Right now I have been running a USB cable from my Macbook Pro to the Proton, but it is about time to complete the next step in the process and take it wirelessly. I was at first planning on using the Apple TV to stream music and movies to my TV/stereo, but I think I have run into a problem that I cannot find a solid answer. The Apple TV only has an optical audio line out, but the Proton only has a USB in. What options do I have to get around this? I have found this M-Audio Transit, but it seems to only work for USB in and optical out. Not the optical in and USB out that I am in need of. Another possible way around my problem is hacking the USB port on the Apple TV. What little information I have found on this was concerning adding an another hard drive; not a DAC. I very much enjoy the Proton, but I would enjoy it much more if I could run it wirelessly. Thanks for any information!
