  1. A french guy has compared Digione classic and Digione Signature with a ifi ipower. Same bad result for him with a lose of rythm and energy. I have noted the same behaviour on a Digione classic powered by an ifi ipower. If you are retired and only listen to chamber music or intimate jazz, you should still enjoy. This type of restitution is perfect for the nap.
  2. Quick question, with Digione Signature, is it mandatory to have 2 PSU or is it possible to deliver power into Digione card from the rpi (as it is done with the classic Digione)?
  3. HI, Have you compared with the classic Digione?
  4. Try to avoid ifi ipower with the Digione. The Digione item seems not to like this PSU for the better musicality and performance. Try the standard PSU sold with the Digione player.
  5. The RPI3 has already a wifi chipset (I suppose you own this RPI version). So, no need of Wifi dongle.
  6. Where have you seen a USB plug on a Digione card?
  7. Before to try a high quality linear power, you can try, if you can, the basic PSU 5V/3A sold with the player Digione. I own both ifi ipower and the allo PSU, there is no comparison in my opinion. The Player Digione seems under powered with the ifi ipower and the Digione seems very limited with the ifi PSU. I observed the same behaviour on my hold drive, a Squeezebox Touch. The allo PSU offers a great surprise by testing it and compare it with other kind of PSU.
  8. Humm, not sure to understand, the new RPI doesn't work any more with a 5V PSU ? I think it is ... And the recommandation for this new RPI version is 5V/2,5A. Il you had an additionnal card, so, it seems logical that a 5V/2,5A PSU may become not sufficient to power the RPI card plus the Digione audio card, I think.
  9. allo provides a very good PSU 5V/3A for the audio and for the Digione player.
  10. You have not installed any operating system ...
  11. I own 3 distribs: Volumio, dietpi and picoreplayer. I tested only one (Volumio) for the moment. Several feedback said that between Volumio and Dietpi, no differences perceived on the sound. Diepi seems to have more functionalities. I have not seen any feedback on picoreplayer by LMS users with the Digione.
  12. Why do you use an external PSU ? The default 5V/3A is quite sufficient. The performance is greater than an ifi ipower for example. I compared the allo PSU to an ifi ipower on several devices (Squeezebox Touch, interface DXIO Pro3Z) and the result is reproductible. Now, the ifi ipower is stored in a box.
  13. Regarding posts shared by Crab, there is one limit for the player Digione, this item is dedicated for people who has used a personal computer at least one time in their life ...
  14. hihi, same for me, I have ordered a player digione with a dietpi and I received one with Volumio hihi I think Allo has few difficulties to deliver the good memory card ... But when I heard the sound quality, Allo has been quickly forgiven, above all regarding the price If you have a PC with Windows, download a Volumio OS for RPI3, flash it on your memory card with Win32DIskImage for example and enjoy ... ! It is very simple and easy.
