I highly doubt you have the yet-unreleased firmware version. You probably have the latest firmware, released in July. One way to be sure would be to get the software utility used to upload new firmware, as the utility will identify the version you have installed. Does your MA-1 accept DSD128 or PCM392?

Funding? making SACD ripping available through USB!

Signed up even though I already have a PS3 set up to rip SACDs. It seems a more convenient way to go. -
About the same for me (much less frequent than before the fix).
-
Should be the same as in 201. The -d option deletes the named firmware NVRAM variable.

I am using the suggestion in post #201 and have not tried the one in post #203.

I just wanted to share that this appears to have eliminated the dropouts I was experiencing with HQP 3.5.1 and OS 10.10.1.
-
Trying that too. Thank you for the pointer.
-
Unfortunately, dropouts still occur even with the above disabled. Freann, I have WiFi disabled and I am running OS 10.10.1.

Amarra comes with an optimization script that is said to disable the following: Termination daemon, Sleep mode, Hibernate, Mission Control, Time Machine, Spotlight, Launch Control, Dashboard, Notification Center and AppNap. I have run the script and rebooted. I will report if this solves the issue or not.

Thank you for the suggestion. I had all Spotlight search categories deselected in the System Preferences, but I will try disabling the daemon.
-
For me, it is not as much a matter of liking Yosemite better as the fact that HQP sounds better under it than under Mavericks + CAD optimization script.

Could you please confirm that you are running HQP 3.5.1 and OS 10.10.1?
