  1. I just got a G2 and I have a spare 2.5" 2TB SSD that I'd like to install. I'm not incompetent in these sorts of matters but not a tech wizard either. There's very little detailed guidance about this on the web so I'm wondering if anyone here has done this and can give me the basics? What will I need other than the drive itself? How difficult is it? I have a USB drive attached now and it works just fine so if this is a major operation maybe I'll just skip it. Thanks for any help
  2. View Classified SOLD Weiss DAC501 Weiss DAC501 in mint condition with all original packaging (and what packaging it is). I am the second owner. I purchased locally from the first owner who bought it new in February 2021 and quickly realized it was way more DAC than he needed or wanted in his system. I bought it from him a month later and it had barely been used at that point. It functions perfectly, works as a Roon endpoint with an ethernet input, has a headphone jack (which I verified as working but never listened to because I am not a headphone guy) and has a very sophisticated suite of DSP options, Room EQ being the big selling point, because it allows you to correct for room modes. It is startling the effect this has. Hands down, this is the best DAC I've ever had and I've owned quite a few of the big dogs - TotalDac, Aqua, Ayre, Denafrips, Holo. The combination of transparency and musicality with this DAC makes it the most 'you are there in the recording studio' digital musical experience I've ever heard. And if you think I'm just laying it on thick to sell it, take a look at this page on the Weiss website - https://www.weiss.ch/products/dac501-dac502 - and click on Reviews and User Feedback. That pull-out quote - that is from me. I was corresponding with Daniel Weiss about the DAC501 and he asked if he could use some of one of my emails on his site. I also recommend checking out Michael Lavorgna's review at Twittering Machines, and John Atkinson and Jason Serinus at Stereophile (writing about the DAC502, which is the 501 in a full size box, the only difference being it has a balanced headphone out). I'm selling because... well because I am an insane audiophile who just needs to cycle through gear... but primarily because I just bought a pricey all-in-one - the Boulder 866 - and I can't afford to keep the Weiss. I don't even have the Boulder yet, and though it certainly has gotten rave reviews, I can't say that I am sure that it will better my combination of the Weiss with a Pass Int25. But I am planning to move onto much less sensitive speakers than I currently have and the Boulder's power will be needed. If you're looking at this you know these are rarely seen used. $6800 shipped CONUS. Seller davelarz Date 08/04/21 Price 6,800.00 USD Category Digital to Analog Converters
  3. Offering my like new Innuos Zen mk II server for $1500 shipped CONUS. I am the first and only owner, bought it new last year in England. 2TB of onboard storage, with just shy of 1TB of hi-res files loaded now. Obviously you can delete them and start fresh on the hard drive, but it is quite a nice library of music should you want to keep any of it (some pics from Roon included to give you a sense of what's on it).Runs Roon core, which is how I used it. I found it to be a huge sonic step up from a SonicTransporter that I was running beforehand. The addition of the Zen to my system really opened my ears to the possibilities of digital hi-fi. Selling because I'm downsizing, doing very little listening these days and when I do I am listening to vinyl.Runs on UK voltage so I've used it with a step-down transformer which will be included in this sale. Operates flawlessly in this configuration. I should have it converted to US voltage when I bought it in England but I didn't think of it, and once back in the States with the unit I communicated with Innuos about it and they said that using a step-down would have no impact on performance.
  4. Great power cable for DAC's. No longer need it in that I've gone to an all-in-one streamer. $300 shipped CONUS.
  5. My favorite of the many USB cables I've used. Don't need it anymore as I've gone to an all-in-one streamer. $225 shipped CONUS
  6. Original Denafrips Ares - no issues, working great. I have had a lot of NOS DACs including the Terminator and a TotalDac d1tube - I ended up feeling like this Ares gave me a surprising amount of the bang of those much pricier units for a lot less buck. $550 shipped CONUS. Selling because I'm downsizing, went to an all-in one.
  7. Selling my TotalDac d1-tube mk ii with the DSD option and 2 NOS Mullard CV4003 12au7's installed (stock tubes also included). The only flaw is that some lettering on the back of the unit has flaked off, which is common with TotalDacs, happened also with a d1 core that I owned. Otherwise it has no issues, works perfectly.Retail for the unit is 9100 euros and the DSD option is another 320 euros - at the conversion rate right now that is $10,209 (and that obviously does not include the cost of the tubes). Asking $8000 shipped CONUS. Ships in original box with remote and power cord and stock tubes. You probably know what this is and how rarely TotalDacs become available on the used market. Reviews for this d1-tube surpass the "rave" category and verge into religious devotion (a few pasted below) and I see why. It's really hard to believe what this thing does and that digital can sound so present, rich and natural. As a longtime vinyl guy I never thought I'd hear a digital unit sound like this. I just don't have enough listening time to justify keeping it so after a lot of back and forth on the matter I've decided to let it go.https://www.audiostream.com/content/totaldac-d1-tube-mk2-dachttp://inearspace.com/2015/07/18/totaldac-d1-tube-mk2-a-big-old-ladder-above-the-rest/https://hifipig.com/totaldac-d1-tubedac/
  8. Offering the original Sonictransporter, Microrendu with hard adapter and Uptone Regen for $650 shipped conus. Sonictransporter runs Roon core - everything works perfectly, was just using it until I got an Innuous server. No internal storage on Sonictransporter - I had a USB drive attached. Stock power supply with ST and Meanwells for both Microrendu and Regen.
  9. Great cable in near mint condition - I was using it with a Singxer SU-1 but no longer needed as with new DAC I am going direct to USB. $250 shipped CONUS
