  1. Thanks so much for your reply - it's very much appreciated! After much messing around, I found out that I was right in suspecting the Weiss could not detect the correct signal In fact NO signal was being detected as the USB cable (brand new and never used) was faulty. Oh my!! Anyway all is good now, and the sound is fabulous, and better than I could have imagined. I'm going to invest in the battery power supply (m2tech) which should make it sound even better, although right now I'm already super happy. The sound is far better through the Pass Labs than when using the digital volume control in contrast to how I remember the sound via direct output on the Bel Canto DAC3 which I owned a few years ago (which offered a more upfront presentation with little sound stage. Anyway, thanks again!
  2. Hello all, First post, and looking forward to being around here. I was wondering if anyone could help me with setting up my first pc based audio system having been all vinyl in recent years. My system is: Dell XPS13 - M2TECH EVO2 - Weiss DAC2- PassXP10 - GamutD200mk3- Wilson Benesch Trinity I'm running the Dell via USB to the EVO2 and via XLR from the Evo to the Weiss. I can't get the flashing light on the AES input button on the Weiss to stop flashing which I assume is because it can't detect the correct signal from the Evo?? I have downloaded and run the driver for the M2tech and have selected that as the default audio device from the sound settings in Windows. Tried using Itunes and Jriver but alas no joy. Would be really grateful for any suggestions! Thanks in advance. RF
