Alchemy Desktop - touch friendly control interface for HQPlayer for Windows
AaronBodle replied to dean70's topic in Software
A few questions, can a CD Drive button be added? The button could be programmed to reference wherever the CD Rom drive is at. Also is there a way, that with one press, or two, on an album folder it could load and begin playing? I'm trying to eliminate as many steps as possible. Alchemy is so close to being perfect for the car audio environment. Right now, as I understand it if I want to get to a new album I have to "delete" the playlist, right click with a mouse on the album folder to load it up, and press play. Id like to be able to just select the album folder and have it open and begin playing. Could something like that be done? -

Im using Library view. Nothing shows up when I switch to Folder view. SOLVED. Its working, In Settings I had tried all three, Direct, Local, and Shared folder. Only Direct would work. This morning I switched it to Local setting and no problems, the album art all came up. Thank You. -

Alchemy is exactly what I needed as the UI for my Carputer, it makes using HQplayer with Acuorate much safer. Right now I am on the trial version, Windows10 OS. I am not seeing any of my album art in Alchemy, even though it shows up in HQPlayer. Flac files, album art embedded in each track and a folder.jpg. -
Original CD of Yazoo - Upstairs at Erics playing through an external drive in HQPlayer. Its not showing any information other than track time. Will you assist me in figuring out may not be working as I just installed the program.

Im building a car audio competition vehicle for sound quality, I have the system up and running, I do however need an 8 channel DAC as I'll be running Acourate for DSP. Has anyone used the RME Fireface 802 (RME: Fireface 802) as the DAC for multi channel use? This is my Lilliput capacitive touchscreen with the system up and running

Thank you Keith! Ill purchase it :-)

Originally I was going to purchase a in vehicle media player by Sony that is DSD native playback capable https://www.amazon.com/Sony-RSXGS9-Hi-Res-Receiver-Bluetooth/dp/B01950SA0C however I would have to go from the analog domain back to digital to do DRC, which is pointless, and beyond my financial means. Correcting the acoustical environment, to the best of my ability, has taken priority for me over DSD which leads me to the question, seeing as though I do not want to rely on an internet connection, will Acourate work without being online?

Purchased, thank you Mitch!

I just picked up Mitch's "book", thank you for the recommendation dallasjustice! Keith, I'm looking forward to see how this goes for you. I'm building a audiophile carpc built around the Intel 6700k that requires 7 channels, I'd given up on the possibility of dsd for now.
