  1. Has the hardware requirements been lowered for MacOS with the latest PGGB 256? I would get a M1 Pro MacBook or a M2 Pro Macbook with 16gb of ram along with PGGB 256. Mostly listen to redbook or 24bit PCM with the occasional DSD64. Can the files be processed?
  2. What's the price of the Net2 upgrade? Considering that or going with the USB2 upgrade for 850usd. Currently using Aurender W20 with the USB1. Given the rave reviews of the NET2, I am slightly tempted to go with the Net2 and finally getting a roon subscription.
  3. Thanks for sharing. I also have a 2014 5k iMac with expandable ram slots and 1tb SSD. If I upgraded the ram to 64gb or 128gb, would it be better than the base 14 inch MacBook Pro with 512gb SSD and 16gb ram? Sorry if I wasn't being clear. What I meant was the USB2 QX-5 Twenty being the best for me, since I already own a QX-5 without the upgrade. The Tambaqui piqued my interest as my dealer has been raving about it (cost/performance ratio it is indeed much cheaper than the Dave and QX-5 Twenty where I am based). I was looking at shifting the Ayre to another system in the living room and getting the Tambaqui for my main rig, but PGGB has thrown a spanner in the works.
  4. Ok found out the Tambaqui will only take 8FS. Looks like the USB2 Ayre QX5 Twenty is the best after the Dave
  5. Just curious. Has anyone tried PGGB with the Mola Mola Tambaqui? And will a base 14 inch M1 MacBook Pro with 512gb SSD and 16gb ram going to be sufficient? I do not mind taking longer to process the files as long as it works. When Matlab runs natively on Apple Silicone, I assume the speeds will get faster?
  6. I have had a QX-5 Twenty since 2016. I am extremely intrigued by the USB upgrade, given that my unit is unable to play DSD256 without popping noises. Hopefully this upgrade can resolve things. How much is it for the upgrade to the new board?
