  1. @ proftournesol: Are the ADAMs available in the US??? Or do you want to import them? @ sunjitwhy: I took a look at your website, your products look very intersting! I'll be in NYC in a few weeks - is it possible to to get a short demo of your products?? Best regards, Markus
  2. I listened to ADAM speaker at the HighEnd in Munich and was disappointed. Maybe it was a problem with the acoustic of the show room, but I heard better speakers on that show! By the way: ADAM "active" speakers could not be compared with speaker from B&M or Audiodata: The do not use a negative feedback systems. They are speakers with integrated power amps.
  3. Hello Ear, I compared the Cosecant and the DLIII only using their USB-inputs. Listening to the Cosecant, the instruments sounded better defined, each instrument could be better located. The stage seemed to be closer to the listener. (It's difficult to describe with my bad english!) I would compare it to speakers: The Cosecant sounds like a Quad ESL 8-), the DL-III like a Thiel. When I bought the DL-III I compared it with the Benchmark and it sounded ways better. But I haven't heard the Cosecant or the Bel Canto at that time. A main reason for the DLIII was the SPDIF input: I use it with my old Cyrus transport because its sounds much better than the old Dacmaster DAC.
  4. unfortunately not :-( I think it is not the problem of WMP12, but of the file format: As far as I know WAV files do not content any ID3 infos, so there is nothing that WMP can read :-(
  5. Hi, my first opinion was that computer audio would anly be a comfortible way to listen to music. But I changed my mind completely after I heard some serious USB-DAC components! I currently own a Cyrus CD player and I bought a PS Audio Digital Link about one year ago. I was surprised that the PC / USB-DAC sounds better then my old CD Player. I wanted to buy a new CD player and I had the opportunity to compare the PS Audio DAC to the Ayre CS-5xe CD Player. The differences were almost unnoticeable - the Ayre sounded a bit smoother and showed some more details - but they were much smaller then I expected. So I changed my mind and did NOT a new CD player. But I'll get new USB-DAC soon! I compared the Digital Link to the Cosecant and there were bigger differences between the DLIII and the Cosecant then between the DLIII and the Ayre Player.
  6. Hi, when I started with computer audi (about 2 years ago), I thought it would be an easy, comfortible way to listen to music - I never thought I could sound so good! (Currently, I'm using a PS Audio Digital Link III, but I'm thinking of buying a PS Audio PWD or a Wavelength Cosecant). I started with using iTunes on a Windows PC (using Apple LossLess Format). But I liked the new Windows Media 11 more, since it is more flexible for the music infos and I do wnat to be struck in Apple's one way street when I use an Apple-only format. So I started over and copied all my CDs again, using the WAV format. It was perfect, but last weekend I wanted to test the new Windows 7 media player, WMP12. The player looks very nice, the only problem was to move my music library to the new PC: Moving libraries was using when using Windows XP - just connect the external HD to the new PC and copy the CurrentDatabase_360.wmdb. But WMP uses a new database, called CurrentDatabase_372.wmdb - and this is not compatible with the old WMP11 database. Microsoft recommends of building a new library, but as far as I know do .WAV files not contend any ID3 tags or information - therefor all my hand-typed infos and album art would have been gone :-( Does anybody have an idea how I could run my music collection with Windows 7?? Is any media player software that uses the WMP - database??? What would you recommend??? Thanks, Markus
