  1. Thanks for your inputs guys. I'm gonna get the i7 6700 and I will keep auto-rate family checked, hopefully that will do the trick.
  2. When will the new version of HQ Player be released ? I'm asking this because I don't want to buy the current one now and a couple of weeks later to have to buy the new one.. Since I'm building my Music Server, please tell me if I should get an i7 6700 (not the 6700K, since my motherboard can't do OC) or will an i5 6600 be able to upsample PCM 96khz to DSD 512 with all those nice sounding filters ?
  3. Guys, do the balanced outputs sound better than the single-ended ones of the T+A DAC8 DSD ?

    HQ Player

Hi Miska, I wanna be able to upsample PCM 96khz to DSD512. Are you planning on taking advantage of the virtual cores of the i7 CPU on HQ Player in the future? Or should I get an i5 for my CA server (because I don't see the point of having an i7 if the software can't use the virtual cores) ? Thanks for clearing that for me, Dorian
  5. No I haven't tried Daphile, since I'm not skilled in Linux and I find AudioPhile Linux easier to install and to use and also I have 48khz in AP Linux: <server1>[~]# bash <(wget -q -O - "http://lacocina.nl/alsa-capabilities") -s ~ 0) USB Audio Class Digital alsa audio output interface `hw:0,0' - device name = YELLOWTEC PUC2 - interface name = USB Audio - usb audio class = 2 - isochronous asynchronous - character device = /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p - rates per format = S24_3LE: 48000Hz - monitor file = /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params - stream file = /proc/asound/card0/stream0 If you have time and a spare HDD you can try AP Linux for yourself (it is fairly easy to install) and tell us all if it sounds or not better than Daphile. Cheers
  6. Hey guys, I also have a Yellowtec Puc2 Lite and I'm using it with AudioPhile Linux. I get usb audio class 2 - isochronous asynchronous (I've test it using the lacocina script, thx for that btw..) and 48000Hz. Any idea on how to get at least 96khz ?? Cheers, Dorian PS: u might wanna try AP Linux, since in sounds Very good to my ears and it also has mpd for remote control.
