  1. Greta Van Fleet, From the Fires, most exciting band I've heard in decades. Recommended
  2. Agreed, would be nice to have some of the functionality for those of us who run headless. At the very least ability to control playlists would be welcome
  3. Why, when that feature is unlikely to be used by the vast majority of your current user base and there are already options like Minim and Asset that do it really well? Why have mission creep and risk impacting on quality for existing users when you could improve the navigation and finally develop the remote control to ensure you are the best offering in your current sector?
  4. I'm amazed at how much moaning there has been on this strand recently, hopefully it will drop off now that the Internet connection is only required every 60 days. I can understand posts reporting bugs, and frustrations when it doesn't work in a system, but at the end of the day it costs buttons, sounds brilliant and is easily the best value component in my system. If only the app had a little more functionality.....
  5. 3.04 is completely unusable for me. I can;t see any of my albums now on the main screen or the app although it's showing there are 30,000 songs. And it is crashing every time I change the view. It's bad enough, running headless, now having full functionality with an under developed remote but it's always been reliable and sounded great. When it gets to a point where I can no longer access my music, and I have to wire a bloody monitor up to see what's happening it's being frustrating. If anyone can offer any help with this, or tell me how to go back to 3.03 I'd be very grateful. Damien, it would be useful if you could test new releases before they come out as thiis is damned annoying! Edit, I have deleted and reinstalled and, touch wood, I can now see my albums.
  6. I wen to bed last night with 3.03 working brilliantly on El Capitan and sounding sublime, this afternoon I have 3.04 which is so far as buggy as hell. So far I've had an Audirvana helper installed for some reason, slow library, two crashes, and an unable to get exclusive access message in the course of two albums. Is it possible to roll back to a previous version at all?
  7. Problem solved, at least for now, strange network issue
  8. Really struggling with the remote at the moment. It connects and I can change tracks in a playlist but it never quite manages to load in the album art and everything is behind where it should be. Can't select an artist because it never loads up the list. I've shut down the remote app and Audirvana and it persists. I hope there is a solution because I run my system headless and rely on the remote
  9. First impressions is that this sounds lovely, and MQA on Tidal is pretty close to local files in comparisons. However, +1 on searching in the masters which is a pain and today I've been having some strange issues with the remote app which is struggling to connect properly. Worth the upgrade just for the sound though
  10. My copy is reporting 3.0.0.0 is the latest version?
  11. Improve the IOS app so that it has some of the functionality of the main software for us that run headless, and include playlist control please. Internet radio would be nice too

It is mostly about the sound Yes, my primary concern is the sound but I don't see any reason why people should not provide Damien feedback on other aspects of the software, after all he is competing with other suppliers and new users need to be able to use it easily and intuitively or they may never get to appreciate the sound. As for the IPad interface, it is a mistake to assume everyone has the same needs as you, some of us are running headless and our only way of accessing the software is through our IPads, so for me the ability to access soome features such as playlist control and access to dynamic links is much more important that the ability to see dynamic range details; I have ears that are capable of detecting albums with poor dynamic range anyway. Damien seems to be a capable business man and a great developer so I am sure he appreciate feedback on all aspects that help him improve his product and that he is capable of detecting posts that are not helpful and ignoring them

Since moving to 2.6.3 I have encountered a couple of bugs; auto sync no longer works, although it syncs fine manually, display of artists/albums is all over the place with random letters appearing in the middle of what should be albums starting with numbers etc etc, and I have a handful of albums where it is refusing, for no reason I can see, to pick up the album art. One or two albums appears to be picking up album name from the folder name rather than from the tag for some reason. In 2.6.2 most of this was working as far as I could see

Ditto, and sorting is a bit arbitrary too as is album art in the main program but strangely fine in the remote

I get the frustration but I would hardly say he charges 'a lot' either in the context of systems costing tens of thousands of pounds or in return for the on going progression and development that he puts into the software. He could just sell it as a one off and then work in the background for a year or two and then sell the next version forcing an upgrade like many software developers do too. Personally the small amounting of tweaking I had to do to get my library straight was worth it for the improvements in interface and speed and the SQ, which is what I am mainly interested in remains the best I have heard on a Mac
