Exactly that's why I am not a big fan of WASAPI. All other sounds mute is fine. But with WASAPI is results in applications crashing etc. When I activate WASAPI exclusive mode in TIDAL and open a video on youtube (chrome), it kinda crashes the whole browser, eventually even crashes Tidal. Well the music played through that will be either scrambled(unhearable) or it is even silent (no sound at all). It seems that I got ASIO working in Foobar together with a plugin + ASIObridge. Yet I want a solution with a integration Tidal. So far Jriver, Jplay and HQplayer has TIDAL-support and all support ASIO. HQplayer seems to deliver the best soundquality (is also the most expensive one), it requires Roon (for Tidal) which is ****loads of money (110 euro a year or like 400 euro lifetime). So that would be like 550 euro's on software. Not that price really holds me from buying it, but I have to be certain that the software works. but it is unclear how activate ASIO for my Schiit Bifrost DAC in Jriver/JPlay and HQplayer. Hopefully Schiit does answer on my guide request as well. Schiit has a Jriver guide and they talk about activating DSD DoP (this is a other kind of ASIO? ) How does that one perform in combination with Direct-Sound? On the Driver-website of Schiit in the notes (2) they have a alternative driver named : Schiit_AUDIO v1.0.1. But I can't find any information about that driver. No date when it has been released. Not even a screenshot of the interface-layout. Also I am uncertain if the interface allow me to switch between the modes (ASIO/Direct Sound or WASAPI) or if the Schiit_AUDIO driver only has a ASIO-mode. Also I have to uninstall the current driver of C-MEDIA to instal lthat one. So it ain't just a additional package. (Bifrost Multibit + Lyr 2 + Wyrd + Audioquest-cables)

That was mine thinking as well. But Schiit-responded earlier on that specific question. For the Schiit-ASIO (alternative-driver) I need to uninstall the default Schiit-driver. Not really fond on that. Since that Schiit ASIO driver seems old. Also a bit unnecessary since their are programs like Foobar that just need a plugin with a small exe install to get ASIO to work. But ASIO works the same kinda as Wasapi I guess? It both locks one audio-source (application). Meaning if active. You can't use audio in computergames, youtube etc while in use. Tidal has exclusive mode (wasapi) and that really locks it (meaning youtube etc doesnt work anymore). I prefer a way to initiaze asio or wasapi with the possiblity to still use direct-sound for games/youtube etc. HQplayer also has support for tidal? Or do I need a man in the middle named Roon? Hopefully Schiit responds on the request for a Windows HQplayer guide.

Could someone provide me a guide-configuration setup for Schiit BiFrost Multibit? I want to know the right settings I have to set in HQPlayer. As well, how to activate ASIO. Do I need to uninstall Schiit-there own C-media-Driver, install the alternative ASIO driver (that could be downloaded on Schiits website as well, it is old though I think V1.0.1). Or do I need to install a certain plugin? Like in Foobar I have to install a plugin + AsioBridge to get Asio working. Or is the plugin integrated in the program? I've taken a look on Schiit's own Guides and for all the programs they have a Windows/Mac(Linux) guide except for HQPlayer (they only have a guide for Mac(Linux). They use DoP SDM pack setting though : Schiit Audio, Headphone amps and DACs made in USA.. Kinda weird. In Jriver/Foobar is a kinda clear how to setup but HQplayer doesn't seem to be documented enough by either the DAC-company or by Signalyst. I did send Schiit also a mail with a guide-request. Would be lovely if someone could shine a light on this case
