  1. All, Thanks for the responses... A quick follow up: 2) Is the CPU Usage effected by the Source File? (ie 192/24 file vs. 44/16 file) was answered yes, but which files require more processing power a 44/16 or a 192/24? I could make an argument for either requiring more ???
  2. Hello, This is an interesting topic that brings about many questions in my mind. 1) I, like TubeLover, have a SCG SonicTransporter i5 and am wondering if this unit has the horsepower to convert and filter PCM files to DSD128 or DSD256 via HQ Player and run Roon Core? 2) Is the CPU Usage effected by the Source File? (ie 192/24 file vs. 44/16 file) 3) What happens, audibly, if the CPU "Maxes" out during a conversion? 4) How much of an advantage is is there in using the "filters" vs the standard HQ Player conversion vs Roon Conversion. 5) Is there a recommended starting point for "Filter" settings and a process to tune these filters? (ie, how complicated is this process?) 6) Why is filtering necessary? Does it change the "intended" sound that the recording engineer defined? 7) Can HQPlayer be evaluated before purchase? Sorry for all the questions, but this is a complicated issue for many, me included, and some knowledge will help in determining which path to travel... Thanks in advance for the communities help, Arnie
  3. Hello, I have recently gone the Roon route. I purchased a sonicTransport i5 and am using this as a host for Roon core. I have been experimenting with upsampling and was looking to get some other users experience on which upsampling settings are working best. My digital system consists of: ultraRendu UpTone lps1 UpTone ISORegen sonicTransporter i5 Lampizator Big7 with r2r ladder and 256 dsd Thanks, Arnie
  4. Thanks for responding and be honest. If 96K is being provided, as indicated in the link, I'm happy. Thanks, Arnie
  5. Hello, Was wondering if the Sonicorbiter 2.6 does the First MQA unfold as was indicated in the January Press Relase? "This upgrade will add MQA unfolding to the Roon Ready output mode, MPD/DLNA output mode, and the SqueezeLite output mode. MQA unfolding via the NAA output mode is also planned. For your convenience you will have the option to select MQA unfolding or standard USB output right from the web interface. For MQA unfolding to take place a MQA file must be streamed bit perfect to the Rendu. The best thing about a Sonore Rendu series network player / streamer is your DAC does not need to be MQA compatible to take advantage of MQA unfolding." Thanks, Arnie
  6. Hello, I became very use to the option of shuffling through my complete library when I had an Olive 4HD. It lets you find music you have forgotten about, randomly... I have since upgraged to a PS Audio Direct Stream with Bridge 2 and a NAS running minimserver and bubbleupNp with an iPad and Kazoo as the control point. Everything functions very well, but I am limited to roughly 100o tracks in a play list and also cannot just play all tracks from the play next option while in the Tracks window. Any thoughts? Thanks, Arnie
  7. All, Many thanks. I rebooted the NAS and suddenly the media server in Bubbleupnp was minimserver. At this point kazoo could see minimserver and all is well... Thanks again, Arnie
  8. Also, Just deleted and reinstalled Kazoo and the My Music Folder was back, but when I select the App just keeps searching without finding anything. This is exactly how the issue first presented itself. Thanks, Arnie
  9. Thanks for the thought Mike, but sorry, forgot to mention I tried that in Kazoo and there is no response or change. Thanks, Arnie
  10. All, I loaded BubbleUPnP Last night as a renderer as John had recommended in post #11and all seemed to be working fine using Linn Kazoo as a control point on my Ipad. (Ie I could see my Library and play music through the DS/Bridge II. This morning it worked fine for a bit, but then lost access to my NAS in the Library section of Kazoo. The odd thing is that I can still play the one playlist I have, but can't access anything else to either update or add to to playlist(s). Please note, Lost od NAS acces started happened after I was doing some file clean up, moving in the NAS music directory and did a MinimServer Rescan. So the long and short of it is, how do I get the NAS visible again? Thanks, Arnie BTW: Have not start the Tidal integration yet...
  11. All, Thank you all for the quick responses. I am, however, a bit confused about the functionality of BubbleUPnP Server and Minimserver. Does BubbleUPnP Server replaces Minimserver or work in conjunction with it? And would I need to uninstall Minimserver? Thanks, Arnie
  12. Hello, I am new to the forum and was hoping to get a little advise on a good control point for my PS Audio DS + Bridge II, Synology NAS running Minimserver. I just got the whole network set up last night and have been controlling it with Mconnect (Free) on my Ipad. I would like to be able to integrate controlling the music files from my NAS and Tidal through a single app. Also, I would like to keep my PC out to the system. Thanks, in advance for your help, Arnie
