I had a few problems with converting a number of classical files. It turned out that for the majority of the files, the conversion wasn't even starting if there were non-standard (i.e. Czech, French or German special characters) in the file name or the folder. If only the filename had the problem, those particular files wouldn't convert while if the folder name had such a character, none of the files within the folder would convert. I've also had a few problem files from older iso rips where one or two tracks wouldn't convert from dff to dsf regardless of any special characters. In most cases, re-ripping a new iso gave me a fresh dff file that would convert to dsf.
  3. Quick update - v0.30 worked perfectly in ripping the Fischer Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto and Kreizberg Dvorak 7th Symphony discs. Unfortunately, although I was able to get a set of multichannel dff files from the Fischer Mendelssohn Piano Trios disc, I'm not able to get an iso from the disc nor are the resulting dff files able to be converted to dsf's using the DFFtoDSF tool, but having dff's will work once I get the tagging set up for each of my servers. Ted - thanks again for your help in making this possible.
  4. I'd like to thank all who have contributed to this thread for providing the tools and information that's enabled me to rip my classical SACD collection. Having the ability to play back these rips via JRiver has been a wonderful way to enjoy these great recordings with all of the flexibility that results from using a computer as music server. Although I've been able to rip 170+ discs successfully, I'm having problems ripping three particular Pentatone SACD's which I understand is a common problem that others have experienced with these recordings (Julia Fischer Tchaikovsky violin concerto, Mendelssohn violin trios, and Kreizberg Dvorak 7th symphony). I've tried many times with both v0.36 and v0.37 of the PS3 ripper tool, and all three of these report upon loading that they aren't valid SACD's (even though they are playable as SACD's on the PS3) and none of them do a "blind rip". Would anyone still have access to a back-level version of the PS3 ripper code that I use to try to get a rip from these discs?
