  1. a while ago i upgraded to audirvana 3.5 (just for the sake of it) i wanted to have a listen to audirvana 3700 or audirvana plus 2 versions that i never deleted from my imac however these would not open tonight are they no longer accessible or become non accessible once the licence is upgraded to 3.5?
  2. i am using audirvana+ 2.3.3 and sometimes 2.5.2 my itunes folder that i use for my playback is on a western digital my passport external hard drive. particularly when using 2.3.3 the first track does not load when i start listening. it eventually does after stopping track and attempting again (over and over, maybe ten times) and/or sometimes going via preferences just for the sake of it. the same thing happens if i close the app and reopen it i do have in sysoptimzer the audirvana plus priority on very high any idea of what might be bringing on this problem and how i can avoid it? hard drive issue or software issue? it only started about a week ago - it occasionally happens with 2.5.2 but almost always with 2.3.3 thanks in advance
  3. If you go to the album itself (in audirvana) does the star symbol appear (used to add to my Music)? If so click on that again?
  4. Do you mean if you change the setting in one it changes all of them?
  5. Thanks for that. Nicely and simply explains it. (For some reason I had it in my head that all apps had to be under applications rather than just seeing it as a storage area/"folder" called "applications") So did I mange to keep both versions because I renamed the app before updating it or could I always have been able to simply drag it out of the trash after the new upgrade? And is there effectively any limit to how many versions I can keep? For my own reference, Should this be able to be done with all apps or just some? I had never thought about this before. Thanks for your responses.
  6. Furthermore I noticed when I open 2.3.3 there in streaming options in preferences so that's a good sign this is 2.3.3 And 2.3.3 sounds a little different to 2.5 or is that placebo? A little more defined bottom end I think. Placebo????? But why is there no 2.3.3 under my applications in finder I ask
  7. I changed the name of the app in the app folder in finder from audirvana plus to audirvana plus.1 (just in case that was going to make a difference to keep both). I then opened audirvana and upgraded from there. Finder shows 2.3.3 as being on the desktop as I dragged it from trash to there. And has 2.5 as being under applications. Spotlight search shows 2.3.3 (as the renamed audirvana plus.1 that I named it before updating) and 2.5 existing on the Mac
  8. Just upgraded from 2.3.3 to 2.5. When upgrading instead of deleting 2.3.3 I dragged it back to my desktop and opened audirvana from it. audirvana showed it was Ver 2.3.3. I was also able to open audirvana from the apps menu in finder and that opened Ver 2.5. I could not see 2.5 in apps in finder and opening audirvana from the dock opened 2.3.3 Are these in fact the versions they purport to be? Can I keep and use both versions? How come I couldn't see 2.3.3 in apps in finder? Is it elsewhere? Thanks
  9. For a novice like myself, how would I save playlists?
  10. Hi - newbie here I have been happily using audirvana for about 6 months now. After trialling the usual suspects Audirvana easily (more or less) was my preferred option (SQ) with my gear - I don't remember it being too hard a decision when i went from 2.3.3 to 2.4 i preferred 2.3.3 and went back to it. from memory 2.3.3 had a better sound over all (call it analogue or better balanced across the board and the lower end or something like that) wondering how users have found is relative to 2.4 and/or 2.3.x in SQ (for own ripped collections) also it usual to lose playlists when updating? and am i right in assuming, by using time machine, if 2.5 isn't best for me i can easily go back to 2.3.3? thanks for any info for a newbie here peter
