  1. Yes, Sonny is the engineer that did all the OEM work for Aavik.
  2. that's when you hire employees and have other people build things. Again, some manufactures are facile and others are not regardless of how "busy" they are.
  3. This is hi end audio Norman. Its syndromic. I have owned equipment from many small, boutique manufacturers over the years who were not busy. I run a busy small business and answer texts and emails. I am not above it. It takes little time and simply requires discipline. Maybe drugs and pornography are behind it? Who knows.
  4. and by that comment I presume you live without shadows....
  5. Yes, he needs to loosen his sphincter tone a bit, but he is a hell of a lot better than the average manufacturer who cannot even summon the energy to answer an email. I get real time communication with him. The Superstream is beautifully fabricated and sounds great.
  6. Bob, that describes most audiophiles and not surprisingly the manufactures who feed them. It reminds of when the vikings were raiding the British Isles and someone was asked: "where is your king? We are all kings."
  7. Allowing inherent control is perfectly reasonable. I gave him grief about the tube DSP but why not. Its fun to fiddle with as an option.
  8. I do understand the need for safe spaces. Mike seems to trigger a lot of more sensitive philes
  9. I have told Mike to chill but I think the underlying problem is his Redbull consumption. Anyone remember this comic (Too much coffee man)? Too many philes are proud peacocks who cannot handle a little trash talk. Similarly, many sites are too quick to ban people with their sharia-like policies.
  10. I jest Winson. Mike is good people and has created some fine products.
  11. Mike is an a--hole so blustering is his native tongue. 512 is supported from what I gather....
  12. It does, but I misspoke. I am using the SUPERSTREAM only as a NAA. All the HQP-related upampling occurs on my remote IMac. Mivera Audio
  13. I agree latebloomer but its also a bit of a hassle. I had headaches with Roon direct and integration of my files on the IMac.
  14. Redcoat28, Mike is OCD beyond words. I have never had service like this from a manufacturer. A+ The Superserve upsampling to DSD256 is sounding spectacular with the new Phison PD2/A2.120 amp
