  1. Thanks much for the detailed reply - really appreciate it! Unfortunately my w20 doesn't have easily removable drives, hence I can't go this route. Am sure it would be much simpler and useful if @AurenderAmerica can help include such a feature in the conductor app itself
  2. No, even am looking for a way to bulk copy; maybe @AurenderAmerica can guide or include as a feature wish for an upcoming app release
  3. Thanks for your reply - agree with the logic; even if aurender server is considered backup copy, it would be good to have a way to 'bulk' copy between aurender and external USB drives instead of going over slow network.
  4. Hi, am trying to backup internal drives of my w20 to a USB drive; currently have connected the USB drive to a laptop and copying files over network which is painfully slow! Didn't find any option in conductor app to select folders from internal drives and copy to a USB drive connected directly to the USB ports of the w20 - wanted to check how others are doing/ any ideas?
  5. Hi @lmitche, thanks for the reply. Even my Audio Note dealer is somehow against an active UPS but I am more comfortable keeping it in the chain to address any sudden power outages :) Do you by any chance have these ITs on a dedicated circuit and still found SQ improvement with them? That would help me decide. Also are any of your individual ITs with ~0.001pF/ 100dB CMNRR and found to be beneficial or I should rather forget/save money and continue enjoying music! :) BTW, my moniker is kvm and not Kevin :) Thanks @One and a halffor the reply. Somehow my UPS manual mentioned not to connect any transformer at its output so was puzzled. I would have ideally liked to connect this IT at the UPS output to take care of any perceived 'noise' generated by the UPS itself. Will research more and try to talk to my UPS dealer as well. Got your view on the importance of earthing. All my equipment is connected to proper earthed terminals thru my UPS which is also properly earthed. Even I expect the IT earth to be connected from primary-secondary. I will also ensure to install circuit breakers on the IT secondary before it feeds either the UPS (in the former case) or the components (in the latter case, if I can get to connect it to the UPS output!)
  6. Very useful info on this thread - many thanks to all the contributors. Am trying to revive an old thread - hopefully will get some guidance! I am evaluating deploying an Isolation Transformer in my setup to primarily tackle any EMI/RFI noise on the lines. I currently have an Emerson 3KVA double-conversion online UPS on a dedicated circuit/phase feeding the entire components - both digital/ analog and amplifier. I see the recommended setup is: wall plug --> IT --> Online UPS --> components; have any of you used an IT in conjunction with a double conversion UPS in a dedicated circuit and still obtained SQ benefits? Or are these predominantly useful in a shared circuit where other household appliances emit noise on the line? Secondly any views/ experiences on the noise filtering capabilities of an IT versus a more compact surge suppressor/ EMI filter from SurgeX etc. I will NOT be able to import/source a Topaz but the best available locally is rated 0.001 pf with >100 db of common-mode noise rejection ratio. Would it be useful at all or turns out a more futile exercise - from SQ perspective? Appreciate any inputs/ guidance, regards
  7. Many thanks Tim for the quick reply. Really appreciate it! I could debug this further with your above suggestions and could find that MPD update is stuck with some file in $RECYCLE_BIN which upon clearing, went thru. Now the update completed successfully! Many thanks, again!
  8. Hello everyone I have recently upgraded/ reinstalled moodeOS 3.1. I connected my 1TB USB HDD with just about 10K tracks. The "update MPD" in the configure--> source menu is taking 'forever' - I waited more than 20+ hours! I tried reinstalling the OS but to no avail. The Library tab lists some arbitrary 2 tracks. The 'Browse' tab lists the USB drive but only shows '$RECYCLE_BIN folder but no other folder shows up for some strange reason. I couldn't find any way to check the MPD update progress either! However surprisingly, I could find all the tracks over Moode DLNA DB when accessed from my TV's media player. So was wondering how/why the MPD update is stuck while DLNA DB is updated. This same HDD was working fine with 2.7 but I don't remember how much time it took to update MPD last time. Pl help me to solve this issue. thanks
  9. Thanks much and appreciate for the clarification/ confirmation MikeAudia I downloaded this image and could run thru the pi3 with my Chord 2qute DAC. It works like a charm - many thanks and due appreciation to Tim & Henry Initial impressions are that Rpi3/Moode player is sounding much better than using my Oppo 105 as a transport into the same DAC
  10. Sorry if this is a dumb q, am quite a noob here - is 2.6 released yet? any link? Got hold of a pi3 yesterday and tried with 2.5 but somehow it did not work - shows a big rainbow screen! Am not sure if 2.5 is not meant for pi3 or if am doing anything wrong!
