I simply don't get this product. It's not a Pro audio device, and even for home studio use, a single analogue stereo input? Does anyone still mix in analogue these days to produce an analogue master?

Not really Chris. MQA folding is hierarchical, so the lossless 44/24 folded MQA file is passed bit-perfectly to the Explorer by Roon. The Explorer then unfolds as much of the file as it can handle, ostensibly 172/24 in this case. Having said that, IIRC I saw something which said that the Explorer can actually handle 8x at the DAC itself. Was it this Q&A or somewhere else?

Meridian Audio (the UK firm) doesn't make wireless speakers and never has (though ironically many have been wanting them to do so for years). Did you mean something else?

The masters of the back catalogue from much of the 1980s and almost everything earlier than the '80s are analogue.
