  1. Not much discussion is going on around here. Been rocking my unit for about two years and enjoying it immensely. Hooked up my monitors and NUC to it. Crystal clear picture, just impressive.

    It is indeed the latest version. Thank you, anyway. Funny, up until today, my 16/44.1 files got converted without an issue. I tried a DSD64 file for the first time, and since then I can only convert DSD tracks. Bummer.

    ! 2023/02/07 09:41:02 clHQPlayerEngine::Execute(): Out of memory! Then why I still can convert DSD64 files into DSD128?

    Thank you. Absolutely no error messages displayed, it just won't do anything. Where do I check that log file? Thank you. P.S.: I did clear date, rebooted, no change.

    HQ Player

    I have encountered some problems when using HQPlayer Pro. Namely, after converting some DSD64 files successfully to DSD128, I wanted to give the same treatment to a 16/44.1 track, and HQplayer just won't respond, it won't start the conversion. So I have removed the 16/44.1 track, replaced it with some DSD64 song and left the same settings in HQPlayer and the conversion was seamless. Please someone can help? Thank you. P.S.: Tried numerous 16/44.1 tracks, with the same result.
  6. In safe mode the computer works flawlessly...updated all the drivers...still, I'm keep getting blue death. I want to get to the bottom of this before returning it.
  7. For the record, that's the one I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C4Z69LN?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
  8. Yup. I forgot to mention that I did that already before I purchased my second set of ram. So I already ticker that off my list...
  9. Hi folks, I hope it's ok if I start a new thread for this one. I have got a new NUC which I was planning to use for music playback through JRiver. Anyhoodle, ever since I inserted the ram disks and fired it up, it has been been giving me issues, namely, freezing up, blue death and sometimes the dreaded blue death loop. Checked the ram disks and win10 says my ram is faulty but gave no explanation. I have ordered a new set of appropriate ram disks and I'm getting the same issue. Did clean install, same results. As soon as win10 boots and I start to use it, stuttering of the mouse starts and it intensifies until the point the monitor freezes or getting blue death. The blue death error message is not the same all the time though. If I tax the ram modules by opening and running sundry programs at the same time, the freezing occurs a bit even earlier than if I just let the machine idle. I noticed if I only insert one ram disc the inevitable freezing/blue death occurs later. If both discs are inserted, things get bad really fast. Updated all the drivers and bios, no change. I'm admittedly not a computer expert and I wonder if the community has any ideas what's going on in my NUC? Thank you in advance!

    HQ Player

    For the first time I've got blue death on win10 during playback through HQPlayer so after the computer rebooted I could launch the program all right but nothing will play back. All the settings are the same as before. Tried both dsd and pcm with various filters, to no avail. I hit the play button and nothing starts. I play files and I never stream. Tried with both dsd and pcm files. I'm dumbfounded. Memory usage is low, I keep monitor it. Any ideas?
  11. I wonder if, after burning-in the device for 4 weeks of constant playback of music, I just keep the unit on and play music back intermittently from then on, I will get the same quality of sound reproduction? In other words, after burning the unit in, it is enough to just keep the unit powered and turned on for optimal performance? Thank you! As so many before, I can confirm that, too, after weeks of burn-in, the TXusb Ultra sounds leaps and bounds better.
  12. That's one of the main reasons why I never jumped on the streaming bandwagon. When I buy physical media the artist will get a thicker slice of the pie than if I streamed and I OWN the content. Also, at least when it comes to movies, the streaming provider can remove complete movies from your folder without any alert, even after you have purchased it. Same goes to cencorship. One day they will decide that Gone With the Wind must be stopped streaming altogether and it will be gone from the platforms, for good. Now it's only censored. At least parts of it. I want my collection on my shelves and on my hard disks, triplicated, period. Brave New World is here. Fun fact: Did you know that they can build up your complete psychological profile just by observing the way you use the gas and brake pedals in your car? They don't have to ever talk to you or even see how you look like. It's kinda scary.
  13. I wonder how is work going on the improved version of PGGB that requires less ram to operate...?
