I am using Focal Solo 6 Be as my front speakers, coupled with Focal Sub 6.
I made a combo setup with Yamaha RX-A1010 receiver for movies and separate stereo setup for music with DSpeaker Antimode Dual Core.
The heart of my music system is made of DSpeaker Anti-Mode Dual Core 2.0 which is very universal gear: Room Corrector with analogue preamp and DAC with USB, coax and optical inputs.
For movies I have DSPeaker analogue input connected to PreOuts of my Yamaha receiver.
When I am listening music I am driving Dual Core over USB port from my JRiver music server.
In both cases DSpeaker acts as Room Corrector.
Dual-Core preamp is connected to Focal Sub6 through XLR balanced cables. Focal Sub 6 has built in crossover with continuous phase, volume and HiPass/LowPass adjustements. Focal Solo 6 are connected to Sub 6 through XLR cables, and are working over 75 or 100 Hz frequency (HiPass).
Focal Solo 6 Be without Sub 6 are excellent, but with Sub6 you have unleashed full dimension in music quality.
