  1. This is my first post. Just wanted to add some of my observations on the SACD players that I have. Cambridge Audio 751BD with original firmware. Oppo 103D with current firmware. Sony s790 and s7200 with latest firmware. The CA will play SACD iso files burned to a DVD-R. The Oppo does not, report Unknown Disk The CA recognises a SACD recorded disk as DSD format and plays correctly to a SONY DA5880ES amp via HDMI. It will not output DSD to the multichannel outs. It will output to the multichannel outs if I change from DSD to PCM in the CA setup. Neither the CA nor the Oppo recognise music.iso files via usb. The CA plays music BluRay iso files. They need to be opened as a Video. The files I have are reported as DTSHD MA 5.1 192k with a streaming rate of 14.2Mbps. The sound is superb. The BluRay menu is a full menu with the coloured buttons activated. BTW The CA is a brilliant player of BluRay.iso movies giving full menus. It is a hopeless player of mkv movies. The CA will not play SACD dff files whereas the Oppo and Sony S7200 will only play the low bit 2.8Mhz diff files. My Sony s790 will not play dff files.. My Sony Sound Base XT3 that I use for TV sound correctly recognises .dff file as DSD music on a USB drive and plays them very nicely. Reported as DSD 2.8Mhz 5.6Mbps or DSD 5.6Mhz 11.3Mbps. I will test a Sony S5500 soon for its dff file capability.
