Going to try this again! For some reason my posts are not going through. The day this was mentioned here I immediately contacted T+A. Luckily our service rep was just there for training for 2 weeks. So now for North America we have someone in NA who can repair the DAC 8 DSD and not have to ship it back to Germany. *not that they will ever break! Anyways, here is what the T+A engineers informed us of: “We are constantly in contact with Amanero. The current Amanero firmware version which supports Linux is not stable enough for the DAC 8 DSD. They show signal disruptions, clicks, increased distortion and other problems with DSD512. When a stable version is available then we will use that for our DAC 8 DSD, but until then we have to wait.”

Very cool! If you guys would be willing to take a photo when you go in, I'd love to put up on our Social Media about Computer Audiophiles coordinating to get the demo's they need. You would be hard pressed to find a dealer who can support DSD 512. I'm currently upgrading my home PC so that if someone wants to demo a DAC 8 DSD at our office I would be capable of. Thats of course assuming we can keep our own demo DAC 8 DSD for longer than a few days. Let me know what you build. If it's affordable I might be able to allocate a budget to build it and start bringing it to trade shows so that people can demo DSD 512 at shows.

Thats correct. Gramophone however currently has a DAC 8 DSD that we sent them. A customer in their area was interested and we sent it to Gramophone for a demo. You can give Gramophone a call and set up a demo with them. The DAC 8 DSD is in their columbia store. Gramophone | See It. Hear It. Live It.

It's going to be tight getting the DAC 8 DSD to RMAF. We are currently sold out and are arranging for more to come over. If anyone has connections in customs! I swear they have had it out for us. Everything is delayed 1-2 weeks coming from Europe lately.

Hey Guys, last time I was here T+A had sold out and were starting new production runs to re-stock. DAC 8 DSD's landed in the US last night! They should be arriving at our warehouses today and then on to dealers and customers. You can see all the dealers that have them on demo here: T+A's DAC 8 DSD

Also the new E-Series which is coming out this month to the states has a DAC as well. However I am not sure if it has the same architecture. The new E-Series Multi Receiver is a complete system(receiver, integrated amp...an all in one system) But again, not sure at this moment if it is the same Architecture, I will find out.

We just received them yesterday so there is no way at all that a dealer could even have stock yet.

Yes, we now have DAC 8 DSD available for purchase. Most are going out to our dealers. There are currently not a lot of T+A dealers. You can go to our find a dealer page(http://www.rutherfordaudio.com/find-a-dealer/) and click the T+A tab and see if one is near you. Worst case scenario you can purchase online on our shop.

The DAC 8 DSD at Axpona(The Marketplace). Hooked up to a laptop and you can also try out Haflers Headphone Amps while you are there.

Holy cow 7 pages of stuff has happened since I last visited this thread! Have a lot of reading to catch up on, but just so everyone knows, the DAC 8 DSD will be at AXPONA with the AMP 8 in the Marketplace.

That is correct, however we are no longer 100% confident it will make it. The pallet has not left Europe last time I checked. I will keep you guys updated. The Newport show will have it for sure in a room. (Sunny Components will have it) Sorry for the late reply here. I will send you an email. Robb the CEO and Norm the President of US sales will both be at Munich.

Rutherford Audio will be at all those shows with the DAC 8 DSD. AXPONA is not guaranteed as we are waiting on our shipment from Germany still, but it should be there. The other shows the DAC 8 DSD will most certainly be there. At The Show Newport, you will find a ton of T+A's new gear including the new e-series at Sunny Components booth. Rutherford Audio may have a booth their, or we may just end up supporting our local dealers. If you have any questions regarding it let me know, I did listen to it at CES.

Rutherford Audio should have the DAC 8 DSD, I don't have the booth # handy, but I know the booth will be in the marketplace. We are waiting on our T+A shipment from Germany, that will have the DAC 8 DSD on it.
