Thanks for info. As written in the earlier post I am starting to reconsider if the pk90 is the best starting point. I think I like the soloution by small green computer and will look into it, but sadly I live en europe and import tax and vat might make unattractiv. Also I have hoped for a cheaper starting point that could be upgraded later on. But will look into it. will also read about the sonore. The price is good but what abot sound - will read about it. Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into the bryston. I actually more or less only started to consider the pk90 because I could get a second hand nearby for ok money. I actually would have liked a player with internal ssd, but I still thought it would be a ok starting point and i could later reuse the sotm pci card. But now I am starting to reconsider that it might not be a good deal after all...

Thanks for the reply. I actually have searched the forum and I think I have read about your problems. I have read all the threads about it and whatever I have found by google. The main question I would like to get answered is if anyone has found a solution for spotify/tidal on the unit.? And if someone have tried to install vortexbox on it to get access to spotify/tidal? If I can get the price right I might try it even if spotify/tidal is not possible Thanks Seve

Hello all... My first post here after lurking around for years. I have decided it might be time to get a music server. My goal: - Good sound but not necessarily the the final word. - Affordable - Easy to use - Headless ipad/iphone - tidal/spotify - better chance of hearing all my stored cd,s I have been looking at many different solutions and prices. I have looked at mac mini, auralic aries mini, RPI 2, atom 2800 server, caps server(the later ones), skylake based i5/7. I am still undecided. I am leaning towards music server based on atom or skylake if I believe I need roon. One day I think I need it the next day I don't.... Some days ago I found a auraliti pk90 at a decent price - not much more than the pci usb card and there is added a better linear psu for the server. I thought it was a great possiblity to get into music servers. And If I decided to move on I could reuse the usb card - what do you think If you think on my goals? The only turn off is the missing possiblity of tidal/spotify or perhaps I am missing a solution to that? The info about the auraliti pk90 is not that great. Is it possible to exhange the hdd in the auraliti pk90 with anoter hdd with a vortexbox solution to add tidal/spotify? If possible do you consider this stupid? I hope you will take your time and add your thoughts. Thanks Seve
