  1. View Classified Tellurium Q Silver Diamond Power Cable 1.5M Excellent For sale is a 1.5M Tellurium Q Silver Diamond Power Cord in excellent condition. It lists for $2650 and I'm selling it for $1375. I love TQ cables, I use them almost exclusively. I'm selling this because I upgraded to all TQ Statement PCs and I have two extra Silver Diamonds. I'm selling this one and keeping one as a spare. I'm also selling two 1.5M TQ Silver Power Cables. They list for $1700 and I'm selling them for $950 each. If you're unfamiliar with these cables, here are some reviews. You can also see the accolades on TQ's website. Pursuit Perfect System “I put the Tellurium Q Silver [range] power cables in my system and haven’t wanted to take them out… they all justify their price points and will improve the sound quality of whatever you plug them into.”“The Silver Diamond is the sweet spot of the range and gives you the biggest bang for the buck. It gets you closest to what the Statement power cable will give you. Improved clarity, bass, presence and control.” --Terry Ellis Pursuit Perfect System https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGhbMPb455o Hifi Plus “Silver Diamond takes this midrange clarity and energy and builds significantly on it. There’s more than a touch of Tellurium Q’s ‘Statement’ cable to Silver Diamond, and that means more space around the instruments, more frequency extension (top and bottom, but with that, yet more of that energy and clarity of Silver), and more dynamic range let through.”– Alan Sircom, HiFi Plus Product of the Year https://reviews.telluriumq.com/wp-content/uploads/HiFi202-Awards_MainsCable_TelleriumQ_HR.pdf HiFi Pig “Both the Silver and Silver Diamond Power cables have obvious benefits to recommend. They both have a distinctively clean and controlled sound, that has great extension and tonal qualities that bring the vibrancy out in the music whilst retaining musicality. It’s not very often that I come across power cables that balance this act so well My first impressions with the Silver Diamond was how much more space there was around instruments and how much more space each instrument had to playfully dance. Smaller decays faded from around each of the instruments into their own areas of darker acoustic space. This gave better overall pockets of depth and three-dimensionality to the overall soundstage. The encapsulating effect I love was larger and more complex and with the whole image being more vivid and vibrant. Tonally it’s easy to hear that there is a bond with the two cables, with the Silver Diamond extracting more texture and instrument timbre from the recording. The Silver does an exceptional job of conveying music, the Silver Diamond does a better job of exploring music. I’d strongly recommend both of these power cables [silver and silver diamond] and suggest that if your system and wallet can entertain the Silver Diamond you will be nothing short of delighted” – – Dan Worth, HiFi Pig https://www.hifipig.com/tellurium-q-silver-and-silver-diamond-mains-cables/ Buyer pays for shipping. 5. View Classified New AudioWise USB to Dual BNC Converter For sale is a new AudioWise USB to Dual BNC Converter. It's a remnant from when I formerly owned a DAVE. I bought it and never used it. I purchased it for $400 and am selling it for $225. Many users of HQPlayer and PGGB have been finding that they get better sound quality if they convert the USB output from their streamer or computer to dual BNC and connect via dual BNC to the Chord Dave or other Chord DAC. The AudioWise SRC•DX usb to dual bnc convertor is the perfect device to do this and works very well. From the AudioWise website. SRC•DX™ is a revelation for software upscaling: a low RF noise USB to dual-coax S/PDIF (DX) bridge supporting 705.6/768kHz PCM thats fully compatible with FPGA-based upsamplers and high-end music servers. Eschewing a direct USB-to-DAC interface means the DAC's USB receiver chip is turned off—resulting in less internally generated RF noise. S/PDIF's self-clocking protocol is inherently much simpler than USB and SRC•DX's low power consumption lowers RF noise further still. This helps to elevate the quality of server-based sources so that HQPlayer, Roon, PGGB and other capable software can sound as good as possible. 9. View Classified Innuos PhoenixNet World Class Audiophile Switch - Pristine For sale is a silver Innuos PhoenixNet switch, about a year old and in flawless condition. The list price is $3750, selling for $2600. Right or wrong, years ago I decided my audio focus would be digital. The problem was/is that I found digital wasn't as effortless to listen to as analog. There was often a tension in the upper mid, most notably in vocals, that led to fatigue. Since then, I've spent countless hours trying to close the gap. After much experimentation and expense, I found that the network plays an extremely critical role in digital sound for both local and streamed files and that an audiophile network switch makes a huge difference. As a result, I've tested a wide variety of switches, power supplies, clocks, and cable configurations, and have found that the Innuos PhoenixNet is not only at the forefront, but is probably the best value because it doesn't require an external PSU or clock. I've included reviews below. I'm selling the PhoenixnET because I've purchased the new Taiko switch and Ethernet card, which are designed to be coupled with my Taiko Extreme server. To put the pricing in context, the Extreme switch/card package is twice as much as the PhoenixNet and doesn't include an audiophile PSU. https://hifiplus.com/articles/innuos-phoenixnet-network-switch/ https://6moons.com/audioreview_articles/innuos4/3/ Buyer pays for shipping and any transaction fees (e.g., PayPal fees.) 10. Hi, thank you for the insight. Yes, that’s the great experiment/debate, if in fact the additive value of multiple switches (that you and many other companies/people report), and/or the RFI noise reduction from the FMC compensates for any noise introduced by the FMC itself. Hence the need for the experiment. So Innuos has finally gotten in contact with me about the issue and pointed out there’s a known compatibility issue with the StarTech and slower switches like the Innuos. This doesn’t address the issue with the OpticalRendue Deluxe, but one issue at a time, I guess. I will say the Innuos sounds very, very good stand-alone. It remains to be seen how it will sound chained. Before i bought the Innuos switch I was running dual SOtMs and experimented with both copper and optical between the router, switches, and server. I found the transceivers to be extremely important, but the cables not so much (as long as they were properly matched to the transceiver type.). Ultimately, I settled on copper going from the router to the first SOtM, optical using discontinued Finisar Transceivers between the switches, and StarTech transceivers (in part because the Extreme uses a StarTech card) between the Extreme and the SOtM. Ultimately, there was no need for FMCs because the SOtMs have cages. I’ve sent the SOtM switches back to be refitted to 50Ohm connectors to be compatible with a Merging+ NADAC clock. When they return I’ll experiment with putting the SOtMs and Innuos in series and can report back.
  11. Oh, the Extreme has an optical card so there's no need for a second FMC and additional copper cable. I certainly can understand where that might introduce additional noise. I don't know if it would sound better than the Innuos alone, but it's certainly worth the experiment, and I'd think Innuos should support it.
  12. Hi, I also recently purchased an Innuos switch, which I'm running in front of a Taiko Extreme. I'm wondering, have you experimented with placing an FMC between your switch and the server/streamer? Theoretically, it would remove any last mile noise. I tried to do it going to the Extreme (which has an optical card) and it doesn't seem as if the Innuos supports FMCs. Neither a StarTech nor a Sonore OpticleModule Deluxe were stable/discoverable. Both FMCs work fine without the Taiko and when coupled with other switches. I don't know if it would sound better, but it's certainly worth the experiment and you'd expect the Innuos to support it. I reached out to Innuos and they have been non-responsive. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. Actually, there is always noise introduced by copper cable. The thought is the fiber going the last mile would remove any additional noise post switch. This said, it's worth the test and the PhoenixNet should support it.
  14. Has anyone successfully chained an FMC to an Innuos PhoenixNet? I’ve tried placing a StarTech ET9100SFP2 and a Sonore Optical Module Deluxe between the PhoenixNet and a Taiko Extreme without luck. The StarTech is undiscoverable and the Sonore is unstable. (The Sonore can sometimes be found, but is barely responsive and drops off the network.) Both of the units work fine by themselves when placed between the router and the Extreme, as well as chained between between other switches (an EtherRegen and SOtM SNH 10-G) and the Extreme. I wrote Innuos CS, they have been unresponsive. Is it possible that a $3500 switch doesn’t support standard Ethernet protocols? If they ever get back to me I’ll ask for my money back, I think I should reasonably expect a switch to be a switch. But for now I’m stuck with it. By the way, the PhoenixNet does work when using copper Ethernet between the router and the Extreme.
  15. View Classified EMM Labs DV2 - Virtually New I purchased an EMM DV2 about a month ago that I am unfortunately unable to keep. It's as impressive a DAC as I've heard and is in virtually brand new condition. It's been used just enough to be broken in. From a review right here in Audiophile Style. "The EMM Labs DV2 is the best sounding product the company has ever made and may be as good or better than any DAC on the market today. There, I said it. That's my unequivocal opinion after listening to the DV2 in my system for several months. I used the qualifier "may" because I haven't listened to every product on the market, but I can throw that qualifier out when discussing DACs I've had in my system at home. The EMM Labs DV2 is as good or better than anything I've ever heard in my reference system. Period. No need to read between any lines or guess what I really mean by that statement. The DV2 is just that good." I was thoroughly impressed by this DAC (and I've had many). I found it clearly superior to my last DAC, a DAVE with M scaler. Advantages included a much smoother top end, low listening fatigue, superior handling of DSDs, and a great pre-amp. Note: The DV2 doesn't have a headphone amp. This is also a Stereophile A+ recommended component. The Stereophile reviewer did a side by side comparison with the dCS Vivaldi, and said "Of all the DACs I've heard in my reference system, the EMM Labs DV2 delivered the smoothest, most naturally warm, most consistently engaging and non-fatiguing reproduction of music. Its image size, resolution, and bass were up there with the very best. More than anything else, the difference in sound between the DV2 and other DACs at or near its price that I've heard was akin to the experience of hearing the same music performed by the same forces in different halls." And in my opinion, he didn't fairly compare the DV2 to the Vivaldi. He didn't use USB, the DV2's preferred input, and used the dCS network streamer - which I'd call giving the dCS a home field advantage. The DV2 lists for $33,000 and I'm selling it for $18.500 + shipping and any PayPal fees. These are rarely listed, and certainly not at this price.
