Anybody willing to post the DSD settings for the imbedded version of HQ Player? Switched to a Linux base server and have no clue how to set up the imbedded version for the DAC 8. Thanks for anyone’s help.

After an update I finally have sound. It is a well made product with the new aluminum case but configuration isn't as easy and straightforward as a MicroRendu or SOtM. Thanks everyone.

In my system the Bridge II is the worst sounding of all inputs I have tried. Not straining to hear differences but very noticeable . This is just my results with my equipment and setup. Again YMMV

Of all the input options on my Directstream it sounds best to me using the Singxer feeding the i2S input. YMMV.

I have been trying to setup my Allo USB Bridge for a week with no success. I have read every forum post on the ALSA mixer mute issue and have tried the many options and no luck. Messaged the boards supposed Allo expert and get diverted to another persons email that is non existent as far as I can tell. I think this is a great device and a great option to the microRendu but it is not ready for the masses. I do have basic command line experience and have used Putty to gain access but still no sound from the Allo. I can access via the web interface on my ipad and Roon sees it and appears to be working fine. Still no sound from the USB port? Before I box this up and send back to Allo would anyone like to help a DietPi dummy try to get this to play music? Much appreciated. Marty

austinpop thank you for the clarification regarding the DSD content being used. Not uncommon for our experiences to be different in what we have heard with the Terminator. Great review as it shows how great digital has come down to the level attainable to most any audiophile.

As an owner of a Terminator I think you may have left something on the table in your review by not taking full advantage of the DSD capabilities of the Terminator in NOS mode.

I am going to do a multi DAC comparison. I finally have a reliable server to upsample to DSD512 in HQ Player so I am anxious to hear the Holo.

I have the T&A DAC8 and have the Holo on order. I will be glad to give my opinion.

Can anyone say what is the MINIMUM hardware requirement for HQPlayer to upsampled DSD512 seamlessly? This is getting frustrating for an HQPlayer idiot.......

Larry I listened to several PCM albums last night up sampled to DSD512 in all its glory. After fine tuning the settings, thanks to former member Mike (Blizzard) emailing me some settings to try. I still need to try a few other setting changes to see if I can get better sound quality. Marty
