  1. Hi Ryan, Thank you so much for the prompt and detailed response. I think the modularity and customer choice you're providing in the 8-series is great. Best of luck with your launch schedule. Regards, George
  2. Hi Ryan. Any update on the ETA for the VX-8 power amplifier? Are the amplification circuits 100% the same as those of the EX-8 Integrated Hub, or do they push the performance bar a little higher (when used with the KX-8 of course)? Regards, George

    Audirvana Plus 2.6

Hi, yes I entered the code again. A+ Remote is latest version. I also reset the all the network settings on my iPad. I'm starting to see the attraction of something like BluOS, where you're only dealing with one variable (BluOS Client firmware), as opposed to four (Mac OSX version, Audirvana version, iOS version, A+ Remote version). Not to mention Router settings. Sigh.

    Audirvana Plus 2.6

Anyone else having issues with the A+ Remote failing to connect after updating to iOS 10.2? I was hoping that updating Audirvana to 2.6.3 would help, but no luck. I've also removed and reinstalled the remote, to no avail. (On OS X 10.10.5)
  5. Has anyone had any luck getting DSD upsamling to work properly with a NuPrime DAC-9? When I attempt this, Audirvana asks me not to use the NuPrime volume control, i.e. it asks that I set the volume on the DAC to 0dB. Which I can't do because I'm using the DAC as my pre. Any thoughts?
  6. I don't have the Brooklyn, but I have the Mytek DSD 192, and compared to the NuPrime DAC-9, the DAC-9 is more enjoyable to listen to. Smoother, less fatiguing. Mytek maybe more detailed, forward. My power amp is NuPrime ST-10 (also very good), so maybe it's just a synergy thing. YMMV.
  7. UPDATE: The Toslink optical out is also rock solid. Then I decided to try the Mac Mini's USB out with a different DAC - NuPrime uDSD. Which worked without a hitch. No stuttering at all. So maybe these USB/Mac Mini issues are specific to certain DACs? (Based on this thread - Mytek 192, iFi Micro DSD, NAD D7050). The Mytek uses a custom USB driver, so maybe that's the issue? As opposed to the NuPrime, which uses the standard Plug 'n Play drivers. Not sure about the iFi and NAD?
  8. I experience the same dropouts. (Late 2014 Mac Mini, OS X 10.10.5, 8Gb, Audirvana 2.2.3) I can even reproduce them at will by quickly dragging a finger back and forth across my 'Magic Trackpad'. What solved it for me (sort of) was to connect to my DAC (Mytek 192 DSD) via Firewire (via Thunderbolt Firewire adapter) instead. Have not had a single dropout this way, ever. Even my trackpad torture test can't initiate any dropouts or stuttering. The problem, of course, is that there aren't many Firewire DACs out there. So I'll pretty much have to keep using the Mytek forever.
