  1. Well Guys the problem is fixed i went out bought a brand new receiver to test and now everything works 100 percent fine unbelievable right lol.
  2. Correct I live in queens it's a very rough trip to get musical equipment around the city I will look up stereo exchange just wish this was easier to solve
  3. Sadly closest shop is 1 hour in a half away and the only way to get there is by train. Carrying that receiver through Manhattan would be an impressive feat
  4. ive tried pretty much all suggested literally whatever you guys you guys have suggested. I've tried the receiver literally has nothing plugged in but a CD player no speaker wires no optical cables just CD player and headphones.
  5. Is it possible to have an electrician create a circuit box just for audio equipment. I just don't know what to tell the electrician to do I'm clueless lol. Can they just fix the wires in the outlet or would they have to build a whole breaker box. Promblem is my landlord has the breaker box and she won't let me rewire any of her stuff. Is it possible to get your own breaker box just for audio equipment I'm new to all this so I'm just winging stuff
  6. The neighbor is right next door I'm not running any power conversions at all just plugging it in the wall lol
  7. It is slightly coiled but was doing it when it wasn't I'll try uncoiling it now
  8. Sorry was at work and rushing lol. Yes I removed everything and still did the same thing. It does make noise when not changing volume but it's very random maybe a pop here or there or it could be a harsh wave of static.
  9. Sorry for being so short on details guys I brought 2 different optical cables with me heres one of them Premium S/PDIF (Toslink) Digital Optical Audio Cable, 18 inches - Monoprice.com and here is the other Generations® 8 Ft. Fiber Optic Cable | PCRichard.com | X2508 its also does it when i turn the knob btw as well as when i use the arc slot with an hdmi cable i have nothing else plugged in rca or any other Interconnects the speaker wires are monster Monster XP® (50 feet) Speaker cable with clear jacket, connectors optional at Crutchfield.com the receiver is a Marantz 7005 any more info you guys need i will provide
  10. Took the receiver to a friends house still has popping when adjusting volume couldn't tv or anything because it comes up at random times my friends has no ac no router no electronics at all really near his setup so i dont know. its not normal for popping when adjusting volume is it ?
  11. im taking it to a friends at later on today the pc is a mac the cable is an optical off of mono price and the receiver is a marantz 7005 i guess we will know later when i go to my neighbors house and find out it will tell all i hope
  12. Ok let's put it this way I disconnected everything from the receiver movies it into a totally different room with the whole house unplugged just a set of headphones and optical cable to plug in the pc and it still does it I honestly can't believe it should I just give up I honestly can't figure out what it is
  13. I totally get what you guys are saying but the question is i have a pair of old speakers and a receiver in the other room and that has the same exact problem i unplugged the whole house and it still persisted is it possible both receivers are broken or do i need my whole house rewired lol
