As I was already in admiration of the recordings of TRT I asked for several of these recordings in calibration 2.4 There is subtle improvement on the previous calibration. The sound is less electronic, so it sounds more like I am in the same room as the artists are. For example with the Iberia album; there is really someone playing a piano. When one is walking in a street and hears music playing one knows it is a stereo reproducing or real. Well I opened the door to the garden from my living room and walked about the house. The stereo was playing Iberia. Now I wouldn’t want to bet on real or reproduced! That is a great compliment so well done Mario. How wonderful it would be if artists like Janine Jansen or Lisa Ferschtmann would record at Mario’s place! Imagine to hear the Bach Partitas then…

Here is an interesting paper on technical problems of MQA and I can confirm that Highresaudio stopped offering new MQA files. Statement (PDF-Download "MQA Technical Analysis Hypotheses Paper") All those worried about MQA will be delighted reading this paper I presume. Strangely enough I still rather like what I hear listening to the MQA albums I have (over 40) and some of the better recordings streamed by Tidal (2L recordings eg).
