How do you select a program to use to listen to everything?everything?

I listened test file on the " OPUS3 " site dsd with my Macbook Pro, but the light of dac should automatically change when the sampling rate changes . Instead the light is always red , that ' 48kbps .

My name is Andrea and I greet all those in the forum . Please I need help . I have a dac Chord 2qute hd , with coaxial and optical connection converts well and changes color. With USB connectivity it does not convert , and always red. I thought it was DAC problem but I sent in care and Chord works well . The real problem ' my Macbook year 2011, I do not know if and ' too old and usb can not ' get out of HI - RES signals and DSD . Or do I have to set audio midi ?
