    I've found that Archlinux + Enlightenment desktop is the best performer for me. I don't know why, but it's the only combination I've tried where I can upsample to DSD256 with the poly-sinc-xtr filter (I'm running on a E5-2630v4). I've tried Fedora, Ubuntu variations, and Debian. Debian was very good too.
  2. @arglebargle I got the NAA running on Arch, it was a bit of a learning curve, but it works, thanks for the idea,
  3. Thanks for the reply, yes, I've been using the Cubox image since it came out. My only issue is that I have a headphone amp/dac that is portable, so it does not have a standby mode. Every time I turn it off, the connection is lost and I have to reboot the Cubox. So I just want more control to restart the networkaudio daemon. The Jessie to Stretch upgrade was another Armbian image. Thanks for the tip on the Arch Linux Arm, I'll take a look at it
  4. Hi, I'm trying to get NAA running on a Cubox-i I'm using the Ambian Xenial 4.9.7 image and NAA stretch image networkaudiod_3.5.0-34_armf.deb NAA install fine but does not show up in HQP. I get the following: ● networkaudiod.service - Network Audio Adapter daemon Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/networkaudiod.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: active (running) since Sun 2017-03-26 23:28:18 UTC; 41s ago Main PID: 1811 (networkaudiod) CGroup: /system.slice/networkaudiod.service └─1811 /usr/sbin/networkaudiod Mar 26 23:28:50 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Mar 26 23:28:51 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Mar 26 23:28:52 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Mar 26 23:28:53 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Mar 26 23:28:54 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Mar 26 23:28:55 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Mar 26 23:28:56 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Mar 26 23:28:57 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Mar 26 23:28:58 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Mar 26 23:28:59 cubox-i networkaudiod[1811]: [/usr/sbin/networkaudiod] (1811): clSocket::SetOption(): setsockopt(): No buffer space available Any ideas? BTW, I've also installed Jessie and upgraded to Stretch and have the same problem, thanks
  5. I just built a new computer, mainly for HQP and a couple of other non-audio related things, I keep Roon core on another machine. I guess both could be run on the new computer, but I don't want to mess with the Roon Database, did that once, don't want to do it again. My new setup is: Intel Xeon E3-1245 v5 SuperMicro MBD-X11-SAE-M Crucial CT798395 16G Memory GeoForce GTX-950 Apevia X-Qpack3-NW-BK Case Thermaltake TOUGHPOWR 550W 80 PLUS GOLD Be Quiet! Silent Wings PWM 140mm fan (to replace the stock Case fan) Opensuse Leap 42.1 HQP running on a Debian VM Initially I wanted a fanless setup as well, and I played around with an Core i3-4360 but the processor just ran too hot, even with a heat-sink. So I just went completely the other way, got a big case and just replaced the stock fan. I still need to get a silent fan for the processor. I do run an NAA and have this computer in my office. Up-sampling to DSD256, the processors run between 25%-60% and Core Temp is about 65 degrees Celsius. Unfortunately in this setup I'm not taking advantage of the CUDA offload because I'm running HQP on a VM. So far, it's working great, and I have no complaints. I'm happy I opted for more power over a silent setup.

    I'm also running Debian Stretch with an Core i3 processor and can upsample to DSD256 with the poly-sinc filters, the processor runs at about 80%, but I don't have any issues. With Ubuntu studio I couldn't even use the poly-sinc 2 filters at DSD64 without studdering. That big of a dfference in performance doesn't make much sense.
  7. Hi Jussi, Do you plan to add native DSD support for the Oppo-HA2 to your NAA images? Specifically the one for the CuBox-i?

    I've just moved over to Linux from MAC. Just curious to see if anyone knows the answer as to why the performance of HQP varies depending on the distro. I have a i3-4360 processor, and using Ubuntu 14, I couldn't even use the poly-sinc2 filters for DSD. I tried Ubuntu Mate and the poly-sinc2 filters for DSD would work, but for about 1 min and then the CPU% goes to 100% and the sounds starts to stutter. I tried Debian and all the filters work for DSD including poly-sinc.
