  1. AudiophileOptimizer in CORE mode is out of this planet. I would not believe I would be willing to run 2 PC to play the music but I just could not live without CORE mode anymore
  2. Hi, I am looking into setting up dual pc playback and ability to play spotify is important for me also. Is there a way to setup e.g. Fidelity with Jplay? In my case Fidelity keeps crashing when trying playback over Jplay. Anybody able to setup anything similar? Thanks, Peter
  3. yes, you are right, AudiophileOptimizer makes a huge difference. I am going to test Windows Server 2012 also, to see Core mode in action
  4. Hi, I was hoping to be able to go to windows 10 finally. However, the USB Audio output from Win 10 is inferior to Win 7 with M2tech drivers for Hiface two. I play music on the PC via USB over to Hiface Two connected over BNC to Exposure 2010S2 DAC and 2x Exposure 3010S2 Mono Power Amplifiers driving speakers Monitor Audio Gold 300. I compared Linux, Mac, Win 10 creators update, Win 10 with m2tech driver and Win 7 with m2tech driver. All are noticably worse comparing to Win7 with m2tech drivers. I wonder why Win10 with m2tech drivers does not play as good as win7. It must be down to M2tech really spending most of their R&D on Windows 7 when building the product
  5. Hi,

I have noticed your post you use M2tech Hiface Two with Windows 10.

I am also Hiface user but I am stuck on Windows 7. I have noticed this is the only OS with superior sound quality. I tried Windows 10, Linux and MAC and all sound terrible in comparison to Windows 7.

Did you try to evaluate Win 7 to Win 10 yourself?

    Regards,

    Peter

  6. ok, after firmware upgrade the sound is better with Ubuntu 15.10 but still quite poor and nowhere near win7 with Spotify client. I would recommend linux users to check the windows sounds. I am using HIFACE TWO with Exposure 2010S2 Digital-to-Analogue Converter, 2x 3010S2 Mono Power Amplifier and speakers Monitor Audio GOLD 300, so quite good gear to hear the difference.
  7. Current version of the software downloadable from M2tech site no longer provides ability to upgrade the firmware. Any idea where the older version can be downloaded from?
  8. Hi, I am playing Spotify exlusively. I am sure audiophiles will object here a lot but I prefer convenience. Any recommendation how to play Spotify reasonably? Thanks, Peter
  9. Hi there, this post may be a bit controversial but .. I am a user of Hiface Two for around 2 years. I was getting tired of this Windows 7 lately and I also happen to be SW developer, thus running Linux would fit me better. Here you go, I installed Ubuntu 15.10 on my laptop and to my great surprise I noticed the Hiface Two suddenly sounded terrible. I tried to fiddle with ALSA, etc but I just could not fix this. The sound was very harsh and space feel presented by Hiface on Windows was lost. Please note that I was using Hiface for 2 years and there was obviously a big difference. I was really disappointed but I really wanted to get rid of this Windows 7 in my home setup, so I was thinking .. OK, let me treat myself with Mac Mini. And to my great surprise, the same problem was present on Mac Mini (model from summer 2015). Guys, do you have experience with Hiface Two testing this on various platforms? I am not sure what is going on here because I also have HRT Headstreamer and this one also sounds worse on Linux. I know there is no driver needed for linux and USB audio is a standard and whatever but I seriously hear big difference and Windows 7 clearly sounds superior with Hiface and HRT also. Could you share your experience? Thanks, Peter
