  1. Thats a shame. To be honest I don't understand why this site wouldn't want to review the modified HiFace. I would be interested in seeing such a review - perhaps against the original and also the next generation design from M2Tech. I would have thought others would be interested also - but perhaps not. Best Wishes Richard
  2. Ferenc, How does your new HiFace setup measure up to something like the Weiss 202 firewire alternative. Interested in any thoughts you have Regards.
  3. Fantastic! Great news. I'll pull down and try when I get home later this week. Fingers crossed
  4. Getting a bit fed up with this - sometimes its quiet subtle - overtimes intrusive / annoying. Really wish M2Tech would get on a fix it! They seem to have lost interest :-/
  5. On the back of my Mac Mini I have the M2tech HiFace and the Amarra iLok key. Nothing else. A couple of weeks ago I removed the iLok USB key - and the clicking remained. Will check again. I would be nice to get some sort of formal statement as to whether this is a know problem with know fix - or whether I'm just one of a few especial individuals :-/ Still remain very impressed with the hiFace - its staying even if the vinyl experience is a little too realistic Cheers Richard
  6. Can anyone recommend a high quality USB stick? Apparently they can sound different. Many Thanks Richard
  7. re Vinyl effects - great, I'll keep a watch on the M2 site. Thanks Richard
  8. Scot, Not sure this is what I'm seeing. No obvious clicks when I start / stop. More background clicks starting after a couple of tracks in. I'm not sure how one determines whether a unit is an early one with old microcode or a later version as there is no S/N Cheers Richard
  9. I have a Mac Mini running 10.6 with Amarra and HiFace drivers 1.03.2 - feeding a Lavry DA10. The clicking seems to being after listening to several tracks and then continues. Just like vinyl If I stop Amarra or iTunes and then restart, several more tracks tend to be clear. This leads me to suspect that the M2Tech folks still have a little more work to do on the driver. That said, awesome product. Richard
  10. I'm interested in any advice concerning the optimal interconnect approach - for around $500/600 - for connecting a Mac Mini to a Lavry DA10. I'm currently using a Toslink direct from Mac Mini to DAC. Options so far include would seem to include Konnekt 8 - Firewire (in) -> S/PDIF (out) 10.1 Trends Audio USB (in) -> AES (out) ? Any strong opinions on the optimal approach in this price range. Thanks Richard
