I'm thinking about a system like this myself. Can you give me an update on how this is working for you? How is the responsiveness? Does ROON update its' library reliably off new music added to the NAS? Any delays or drop outs? How is the ease of use, set up? Thanks.

Schiit Yggdrasil - Best DAC available!?

I have had my Yggy for a couple months and am really enjoying it. I did make a comparison between the USB MacbookPro -> USB Yggy and USB MacbookPro -> MF V-Link 1 USB-SPDIF converter -> SPDIF Yggy and could hear no difference. One advantage of the direct USB MacbookPro -> USB Yggy option is that the Yggy remained completely silent between tracks. With the V-Link in place there was an audible click as the Yggy locked in to the bitrate. It seemed to need to do this for every track. Does this occur with the Alpha USB converter as well? Thanks.
