  1. Hi everyone, I'm a happy owner of an Aries and an Aries Mini. Recently I've found that my Aries Femto w/LPS (latest firmware 4.1) produces a light but audible in close range (less than 50cm) buzz when the display is on. Fortunately I can't hear it from my listening position. In fact I discovered it changing some cables in my amp, after almost a year with the Aries happily streaming! It gets reduced considerably (almost non-audible) if I turn off the display. I've found some mentions online to this, and it should have been addressed in a previous firmware update. I've sent an email to Auralic support already, but I was curious to know whether this is normal or not, and if your units produce the same noise. It doesn't seem to compromise sound quality, however. But I would like to know your opinions regarding this issue. My main concern is if the buzzing noise could get louder in the future. Related to this, one more question: Is there a way to turn off the display completely? Because it interferes with my tv and amp's remote and it turns on again whenever I operate them. Thanks a lot.
  2. It would be very nice to have Internet Radio with an option to save custom stations. This is a move the latest version of Roon (1.2) has made. Also, the library view needs some reworking. Two things regarding this: 1) I don't know why but some of the covers have some white space around the corners, while they appear fine in iTunes. 2) And very important to me: the ability to change the album sort order for each playlist, as in iTunes. I have several playlists, and, for example, my classical albums, I have them tagged with the name of the composer in the Album Title tag and then the name of the work. So, in my classical playlists it would be very useful to be able to sort them by Album Title, and leave the other playlists (Rock, Jazz) ordered by Album Artist. I'm eager to try the new PCM>DSD conversion in forthcoming 2.5.1
  3. Thanks for your answers. I know iTunes does show booklets and Audirvana + too. I read them with the latter. But from what I've been reading so far, if I set a upnp server the only option (not sure) would be JRemote controlling the Aries. Such a pity, as I believe even upnp standard doesn't support pdf. See this thread in minimserver forum. And the status of Roon in that regard: they will offer support for pdf as liner notes.
  4. Hello, This is my first post after several months of reading the forum in the shadows and learning a lot from it. I'm planning to buy an Auralic Aries (hooked wirelessly to a QNAP) to substitute the MBP with Audirvana + that I'm currently using. I understand I would benefit from better SQ. But I have a small question that it's very important for me. I listen almost only to classical music and I buy a lot of Hi-Res digital music that comes with a digital booklet in .pdf which I like to read whenever I'm listening to new music or for archival purposes (interpreters, recording date, etc.) I was wondering if the Auralic DS app can show this files or if any other app available does it. I've never run a music server from a NAS and I would like to have this clarified beforehand. Thanks a lot, PS: English is not my native language. Excuse any mistakes.
