  1. I have just upgraded my MacBook Pro to latest OSX High Sierra. When starting Audirvana 3.2.2 I get an error message "Disc changed". And any new album I copy to my Music folder is not synched. What should I do?
  2. OK, I rebooted the Mac and tested again, worked just fine after boot.
  3. I have just upgraded my Audirvana to 3.2.2, and using OSX 10.12.6. The player crashes when starting a song, no matter what kind of song it is, pcm,dsd or wav. Frustrating, yes!
  4. Does anyone have any experience using Audirvana playing DSD with the new Audio Research DAC9? Does it work OK? Any setup proposals?
  5. Many thanks for your replies, jabbr. More testing performed to find a solution and with following result: Audioquest Carbon cable OK for all formats PCM/FLAC/DSD. And to my big surprise the PPA and Supra cable works with DSD playback using Audirvana! Only if I start playing DSD after reboot. So, now I´m even more confused. Identical results also with the separate Musical Fidelity MX-DAC.
  6. Just tested the MBP setup with a standard Belkin 2.0 cable, and it worked. Though, the sound was as expected, quite flat and harsh. So, is the conclusion that both the PPA USB cable and the Supra 2.0 cable have the same problem? I don´t believe that. So, what is the problem then?? In one way or the other, this must be due to how these cables are put together. But, what?
  7. Many thanks for the answer. I have thought about the possibility that my MBP has a bad connector, but, the PPA cable was also tested on another MBP with the same result; played for 1 sec and no more sound.
  8. Yesterday I got a Audioquest Carbon cable in house and tested with the MBP system. And what happened? Still playing music both from Audirvana and JRiver (PCM/FLAC and DSD files). I repeat my question from above, can someone explain this to me? And the sound with the Audioquest cable is very good too.
  9. I had to add some information due to recent testing: I say above that other cables are working, not quite true. One cable (cheap one from a shop, no manufacture info) works fine. To day I got a "Supra USB 2.0 Cable" in house, connected it to my MacBook Pro and what happened? Audirvana and JRiver played 1 sec, same as with the PPA cable?? My conclusion: nothing wrong with the cables. The information that followed the Supra cable: "USB 2.0 and 3.0 are compatible. USB 3.0 is a dual-link system, but is not used for USB Audio". Can someone explain this to me? I now start to believe that my MacBook Pro machine does not support USB 2.0 cables?
  10. Hello all, I´ll start with a simple question: I can´t get the PPA USB cable to work on my MacBook Pro (late 2013/OS X Yosemite 10.10.5). Other cables work without problems. I hear sound in my loudspeakers for 1 sec and after that the Audirvana+ player hangs completely. I want to use the PPA cable because of the superb sound. The cable works well on a MacBook Air (mid2012). Also works well on other laptops and desktop PC´s with Windows 10. I have found that the problem is related to USB 2 or 3 support in the MAC system. When I connect a standard USB 2 hub it works fine, but I don´t want any devices in between my MAC and DAC. Anyone out there to help me? The USB cable is this one: Paul Pang Audio (PPA) red ll USB cable My DAC is: Mark Levinson 585 integrated amp/DAC with CMedia USB driver
