Someone tried the OCXO pci express SSD from Paul Pang ? I would like to have feedback about the TCXO SSD combined with OCXO Motherboard and jcat sata cable vs the new OCXO PCI Express SSD with a regular LGA-1151 board.

Hi SVOO, Greetings to Finland From Québec :-) The most important PC is the Music one not the control one but many people like myself will tell you that at a certain level we don't take risk and put the maximum on both to make sure we are achieving the best result. Money is not a factor in an audiophile world and this is also true that many sharks around will try to sell us all kind of junk so we need to be carefull. As an exemple Actually I have a serious doubt about the Network cable to join both PC's. Is there a real gain by adding a 500US$ cable....Many will tell us that it is impossible since the cable transport only Binary (1's and 0's) but it is also true that the same cable can catch and transfer external noise coming from interference or other and have nothing in relation to the data transmition itself. You can install another operating System on your Control PC and choose dual boot configuration. If you would like to listen music than you choose to boot 2k12. Don't work with the machines when you are listening to music using your 2 PC's setup. If you would like to browse on the internet at the same time, i strongly recommended a 3rd Pc's. I ordered another led to plug into the mobo power led header. The function of the power button on the H5 is not conventional.

Ok finally after a couple of minutes the smell is gone :-) Larry was OK and provide me good answer. The system is working fine even using with the ssd and the H5 plate. :-) ****************************************************************************************** My setup will have Two H5 PC's (Control and Music using Jplay streaming) and two 300 watt linear PSU's from HDPLEX. ElviaCaprice tell me more about the special order you did from HDPLEX for powering your SSD's with 5 volt connections. My Control PC have 2 SSD's (OS and Music) and my Music PC have one but also need to feed jcat USB card. I also have a jcat battery power supply not used for now and not sure if i will use it for powering my OS SSD or my Jcat USB card in my Music PC. Larry told me i can use the USB type C from the linear PSU to connect another SSD. What do you suggest ?

GA-Z97N-WIFI*(rev. 1.1)*mobo with i7 4790k nothing special...i make troobleshooting so i start with the minimum component no drives and no interconnect plate. Larry replied to me and he asked me to let the psu work longer and test it and if the psu survive then i will add component and use the H5 plate.

I have a brand new board installed. I dont have any ssd connected yet for testing purpose. Only the 24 pins atx connected to the mobo directly not using the H5 plate. When i turn on the psu there is a heat smell starting after 5 seconds....i decided to shutdown the psu because i am nervous. My Seasonic psu is working fine in the same setup. I asked Larry what about the heat and odor but i dont have any response yet.

My HDPLEX 300watt linear power supply also have smoking problem...My 1rst board burned. Larry sent me another board. Easy to Replace. Now The PC turn on but the PSU start to smell again a little...so I shut it down before the disaster come back again. I dont use the ATX interconnect plate between the H5 and directly connect the PSU to the MOBO. I am waiting for a response from Larry at the moment.

Hi, This is my first post on the forum and i am happy to be in the computer audiophile group. I will start a new project this week building a dual PC's setup. I read a lot on different forums since a couples of week and now i am not sure where to start with the softwares. Windows 2k12, Fideliser, AudioPhile Optimizer, Jplay, ProcessLasso, BugHead Emperor Player.... I want best possible SQ without software conflict and need your experiences. Here is my components: 2 Mobo Gigabyte H97N-WIFI with OCXO clock module from Paul Pang studio. 2 x i7 4790k CPU. 16 GB (2x8) DDR3 ADATA CL 9-9-9-24 1.5 volt for each MOBO. 2 x HDPLEX H5 Cases. 2 x Paul Pang SSD drive 64GB. 1 x 2TB Samsung Storage Drive. 3 x Jcat Sata cables. 1 x Jcat battery PSU. (Not sure it is needed since I use a linear ATX PSU) 1 x Jcat USB Card. 1 x Gemeni USB dual end cable. 2 x 300 watt HDPLEX linear PSU. Thanks
