  1. Hey, Yes I think I prefer reliability. Also my desk doesn't have a huge amount of room and it is not a very safe environment for delicate products, so I reckon that tube amp would have got ruined. I will do some testing with the speakers before I buy a sub, but I think I will be needing a sub later on down the track because I do occasionally like to listen to techno/house etc and I like to have that nice punchy bass. For rock, classical, blues etc I think the speakers by themselves would be alright.
  2. Thanks for the information. I will take your advice and leave out the Fiio. I haven't yet finalized my purchase of this amp, I could pick up a YAQIN MC-13S integrated vacuum tube amp for a similar price, any comments on that? I want to get a subwoofer, should I be looking for one that has a audio in and a high level output for the speakers? This way I can get some more clarity with lower frequencies while having my speakers dedicated for higher frequencies. I think maybe off loading some of the signal from the speakers will give them more power and focus.
  3. Hello everyone. I have acquired some nice things this weekend, a Rotel RA-12 integrated amp with build in DAC and some EJAC 310.2 Jet bookshelf speakers. I would like to use my PC as the source. I have got a ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard, which has optical S/PDIF output and some line out ports. I also have a Fiio E10k USB headphone DAC amp, which has a digital coaxial out. I am thinking of connecting my Fiio coaxial out to the digital coaxial in on the Rotel, then feeding the signal to the speakers. But I am not sure if this is the best method for best audio quality. It is also worth noting the Rotel is capable of connecting to devices via Bluetooth, so I could also stream audio from my PC to the amp, would the quality be as good compared to other methods? Please give your comments or suggestions regarding this topic. Also I haven't got any cabling yet, what kind of cable would suit this kind of job? It doesn't have to be long cable, under 1 meter should do it. Thanks -CF Rotel I/O: Motherboard I/O: Fiio I/O:
