Basically, I would like to see which connection method will have a better sound quality either direct connect to a CDP or USB from PC or just play thru AirPlay

Hi, I am currently using KEF X300A Wireless version and connected it thru the wifi channel and play songs from iTunes. I'm interested to buy a cdp and hook it up thru the 3.5mm jack which X300A comes with. I am looking at the Rotel RCD 1570/1520. Anyone here have experience connecting the cdp to X300A, how is the sound quality compare with USB or wifi itself?

Has anybody compare the sound quality from Apple to an actual CD? I've done the comparison on a song between Apple Music format and MP3 format; and seems to me that the sound quality from Apple Music is better than MP3. Well, this is just my opinion..feel free to comments.

I bought a pair of IsoAcoustics 155 for X300A and they are great. Bass is much tighter and sound stage is wider; and you can adjust the height by adding the 8" metal rod.

Hi Richard, i played the music in wireless mode, the songs won't play from Amarra and get switch back to play from iTunes instead. Do you know if this is normal?

Hi, i also owned a pair of X300A and planning to buy a set of ISO acoustics stand. May I know which model you had bought? they have one with plastic and one with metal..

I've downloaded the Amarra hifi trial version for testing. I am not sure if this version is too basic compare to other higher level version such as the normal Amarra and Symphony. It seems to me that i couldn't tell the different on sound quality between playing thru iTunes and Amarra hifi. Or i need to use the higher level ones such as Symphony in order to tell the different on sound quality when compare to iTunes? (Please correct me if i am wrong)

Finally, I got mine last night and i played for an hour and so far so good. The SQ is what i expected, but I assume it will become much more better after 50+ hours of run-in. I have a question regarding the volume adjustment, do you follow the instruction by turn the Gain knob to min and then turn the media player and computer master volume to highest; then slightly turn up the Gain to the comfortable volume?

Will go try out different players and see which one suit my taste better..haha I am planning to put the speaker on my study table, i heard from others mentioned that if put them on a small stand such as ISO Acoustics; the sound can be improve a lot. Is it true? If I do so, is it necessary to switch the rear button from Desktop to Stand instead? What's the best listening distance for these speakers?

Thanks for your details explanation, will definitely keep that in my mind. So I will have to change two USB cables at the same time if i decided to do some upgrade on SQ. As you mentioned on the media player, is Amarra so far the best media player in the market to produce an excellent quality of music?

Hi, I will be getting mine by end of this week, feeling excited!! I would like to know if changing the USB cable (left speaker to right speaker + the one connect to desktop Mac) does the SQ make a big improvment?
