  1. Is it possible to somehow obtain NAA version without starting it?
  2. Not sure exactly but that's probably the reason. I'll test it.
  3. Debian binary actually worked in the end. It was just a problem with user privileges but unobvious from log. HQPlayer on my Windows PC finds NAA without problems now and plays everything as it should. To all other comments: yes I understand the purpose of NAA - I don't plan to have HQPlayer on my system - it's meant to be a headless system. Thanks for comments anyway!
  4. Ok, I think I know know where lies the problem. Jud and lmitche, your suggestions and explanations are good and of course make a lot of sense, but you assumed (probably my fault) that I approach this from user perspective while I'm doing it from a developer perspective. I wan't to build and audio system (somewhat like AudioLinux) you can boot from usb and if you have processing power you will enable mpd or HQPlayer on it, if not you can choose NAA or squeezelite - one system for many purposes. So, I'm not asking for a Arch binary, I asked for source so I can build it myself for my platform of choice: Arch. If that is not possible then OK, but I had to ask... :-)
  5. I'm probably not clear about something. Sorry for that. I'll try to explain. I want to prepare a Linux Arch image with a lot of software (audio related) already installed, lot of it already custom compiled for Arch linux. To all that functionality I would like to add NAA. I want it all to be on the same image/box/installation - not really sure where misunderstanding lies... End-user would have the means to switch between several options for playing audio and I just want NAA to be one of these options.
  6. The idea is to provide a workable linux image that would provide multiple playing/library options in one box and since we are already committed to Arch for other options it would be much easier to have networkaudio compiled for it than switch to another distro just because of NAA support.
  7. Would you consider to provide us the sources so we can compile it for Arch?
  8. Since somebody made an actual package for Arch Linux: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/hqplayer-network-audio-daemon/ I assumed it should work. Wasn't aware until now that package building consist just of copying a debian binary... Thanks for the answer.
  9. I mus't admit I haven't browsed through all of the pages of this thread but I did search for my specific problem and I haven't found any good answers. I installed networkaudio on a Intel NUC mini pc with Arch Linux. I have latest alsa-lib and I don't have problems accessing my DAC and playing music through MPD. HDMI audio is disabled so DAC is a the default (and only) sound card on the system. However, when I try accesing networkaudio with HQPlayer Desktop (Windows version) I don't get any device in Device field and when I look at networkaudiod service log this is what I get: I tried with mpd stopped (same result) and aplay -L and aplay -l show my device correctly. I don't know what to do next... Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
