  1. Here is further discussion on the topic https://www.stereonet.com/forums/topic/594242-dante-for-home-theatre/
  2. Seeing that the Seven and Threes both have identical sets of dual RJ45 inputs might it be fair to assume that the Threes could get a Dante firmware upgrade?
  3. You could create a superb movie surround system with auto room correction with something like this as it has all of Dolby Atmos, Dirac and Dante compatibility. The game changer for the Kii Seven is the convenience of Dante connectivity and intelligence. https://www.jblsynthesis.com/products/electronics/SDP-55-.html
  4. Kii Seven details are already up on their official website: Inputs : XLR and TRS, AES/EBU, KiiLink/KiiCONTROL, WiFi, Bluetooth, DANTE There is a mobile app called Kii Home, and the site implies that the Kii Three can be combined with the Seven. Dolby Atmos is supported and so are all the major music streaming services. No rear drivers, just two side woofers.
  5. https://www.facebook.com/audiophile.lu/ “IT’S ALL ABOUT MUSIC… AND MOVIES les 21 et 22 octobre au Doubletree by Hilton à Dommeldange! Les Kii SEVEN !” Based on my research and deduction: 1) It will be a smaller speaker. 2) It will have wireless connectivity 3) It could come either with a new hardware wireless controller probably for synchronising with movies, or work off WiFi pc/mobile like the KEF LS50 or 60.
  6. My thoughts: 1) Since this is being bunched with other controllers it may not be another speaker. A super controller or some other electronics? On the other hand, it could be a smaller speaker with a built in network or usb input that is Roon compatible 2) A bigger speaker would be a Kii Five and a smaller could be a Kii One. Why jump to Seven unless the speaker is super large? 3) Kii has taken its time on new products but it has moved into a larger factory since the Three first came out. But Bruno Putzey did say in a Hifi News interview that every new product will clearly be a distinct choice from an existing product for the customer.
  7. Hmm..Would there be a way to check which serial numbers have the update?
  8. I think not a mistake, this looks to be on the official Kii Facebook site.
  9. According to this, Kii Three now uses Purifi amplifiers throughout. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=183791314649970&set=a.103416632687439
  10. I have a pair of Kii Threes but never used it via a Dcs. In my experience most of the time any of the spdif inputs work better than direct USB when used with a variety of servers including directly from the Roon Nucleus…. its simply less harsh and 2 dimensional.…Put a USB noise filter device from either Intona or iFi and the sound improvement can match or better the spdif input ..but it does require some tweaking with power supplies and earthing to get there. To be honest, i dont hear an improvement in sound beyond 192k within USB so i wouldnt move to USB just for the higher sample rates alone. Also, even with USB and a 384k sound source, the Kii Controller will display a sample rate at 192k which probably means that its downsampled anyway. If you must, I hear the new iFi NeoStream is worth a try and it has all the output formats incuding USB and AES/EBU for you to make the comparisons. See if you could get one on trial.
  11. Thanks guys. I guessed as much... was hoping to take advantage of some of the latest technology sample rate converters but I guess 192k is the actual limit. I do believe hear a very subtle but probably insignificant difference between sample rates on the Kii. Here’s a tip though for those without BXT. I use this between speakers and stands .. Not so cheap but they work very well for me. https://taica.co.jp/gel/en/product/vibration_damping/sn_sheet.html
  12. Reaching out to Kii users.... Can anybody tell me why my files streamed via USB at 384khz sample rate (viewed and verified on another dac) shows 192k in my Kii Control? The reading is here: Main Menu>Setup Menu>About>About Main Speaker>Samplerate>192000 Does Kii Control down sample to 192k before sending the stream to the Kii speaker? Are my settings wrong or can any other Kii user help verify this. Thanks!
  13. What I meant is that I have the Usbridge Signature without the Digione Signature board but with the case fascia cut out for the spdif sockets. Which option should I choose when ordering a new Digione Signature board to insert into the Usbridge Sig. case?
  14. Please also advise which version is compatible with the Usbridge Signature.
