  1. I already have everything backed up. I always back it up.
  2. I'm sure Beginner's Guides are posted all over this forum, but I'm looking to get some personalized advice. I'm going to try and post this in tl;dr format so we can just get to the point. Recently purchased ROON and absolutely love it. It has recaptured my love for MY music. In recent years, I've been more of a streamer and discovery fiend moreover sitting back and simply enjoying my stuff. ROON has changed that mindset for me for every reason you all love it. I'm also a Tidal subscriber and have been so since well before Jay Z purchased it. However, I'm currently running ROON on my laptop. My laptop is essentially connected to everything and runs everything, including 2.6TB of lossless rips (and growing constantly) that are stored on a 3TB portable hard drive. Not the most ideal setup, but its what I've got right now. My laptop connects to a FiiO DAC that I plan on upgrading at the conclusion of this thread. My DAC then outputs to Klipsch speakers and headphones. I'm looking into upgrading and want to spend about 1K or less. Also, right now only getting "High Quality" (filth, I know) playback from ROON, I'm pretty sure its the hardware). If you have any tips to get bitperfect with no upgrades, fire away. So, basically, a few questions to get the ball rolling. I'd like to upgrade and get the Schiit UBER Stack. Recommended or is that not necessary? Other options in that $300 or lower range? I'm interested in getting my music to a more dedicated hard drive. Not sure if I should do a streamer with NAS or incorporate the MacMINI. I'd really like to get a little more advanced, but I've gotten a bit overwhelmed deciding and reading through everything gets a bit frustrating, because things on audiophile forums get convoluted really quick. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Been lurking the forums and have used the site for years. Most of my audiophile experiences have been with vinyl and old school hard copy playback. Been really wanting to go all-in on digital...just always get frustrated and walk away when trying to put all of the pieces together...I'd prefer not to waste money experimenting. Thanks in advance.
