  1. Dears, I’m going to connect, through XLR, Yggdrasil DAC with the integrated Burmester 082. I just read the two equipments have a different XLR configuration, with pin 2-pos and 3-neg for the Yggy and the opposite for the Burmester. My doubts are: - is this going to damage the electronics? Or is it just an issue of phase/polarity inversion? - is the “phase inverter” button on the Yggy enough to connect them with same polarity - do I need a modified cable or an inverter plug to fix it and avoid any problem? Sorry for the basic questions but I’m not an expert here thanks a lot ciao andrea
  2. Dears, have you ever experienced problems in connecting Roon ROCK (mine is on a NUC7i7) with Yggdrasil through USB? I can't really set up Yggy in Roon as audio device: in the device list it doesn't appear at all or, quite weird, it appears for a second and then disappeared again. I tested different usb cables but nothing works. I've Yggdrasil with Gen 3 USB; I've also tested an Intona between Rock and Yggy and no improvements When I connected another DAC through USB (ifi iDAC2) all went really well. Thanks for any support
  3. Additional info: I've Yggdrasil with Gen 3 USB; I've also tested an Intona between Rock and Yggy and no improvements Thanks for any support
  4. Thanks a lot for the detailed guide. Easy to follow. Have you ever experienced problems in connecting ROCK (mine is on a NUC7i7) with Yggdrasil through USB? I can't really set up Yggy in Ron: in the device list it doesn't appear at all or, quite weird, it appears for a flash only. I tested different usb cables, with or without Intona but nothing works. When I connected another DAc through USB (ifi iDAC2) all went really well. Any recommendation? Thanks Ciao Andrea
  5. Thanks a lot. In the meantime I've learned more about my present issue. When Integer mode is selected, Audirvana is freezing when I change into a file with a different sample rate (e.g. from 44,1khz to 96khz) Kind regards
  6. Dear all, I'm new in the forum. My name is Andrea, 44 years old and I'm from Italy. I've been always a music and hi-fi lover, since when I bought my first stereo system several years ago. Up to now I enjoyed physical CD's and LP vinyls (yes, I'm still buying vinyls :-)) but few months ago I decided to start listening high resolution files too and I acquired a DAC and a couple of softwares. My system is now: - Apple Mac Book Pro late 2009 with Yosemite as OS - M2Tech Young DAC - Audirvana Plus and Amarra 3.0 (updated to the latest versions) When I use Audirvana, I'm facing problems in configuring Direct and Integer mode: basically, when checked, I'm usually able to listen only the first song, while all others are simply not playing at all. If I uncheck both options, all is playing well Do you have any recommendation to help me to fix my problem? Is, in your opinion, a configuration or hardware issue? Thanks a lot for your help Kind regards Andrea
