  1. Guys and gals, I just realized Audirvāna software is not really Audirvāna any longer, but rather 'Studio'. Does anyone know if the original is going to work for very much longer? I kind of want to re-install on a new device. Im not sure that's even possible. I'm sure this is not the post anyone wants to read or answer to. But, my regrets in advance.
  2. Awesome. Actually, I clipped the last part of your quote and repaired incorrectly!
  3. I have the license key, but not v.2 anywhere that I can find. Does it exist somewhere on the Audirvana site? Thanks
  4. Does anyone know how to revert to the old 2.x version? I tried the 3.x upgrade and the trial period is over, but now Audirvana will not open and the old key isn't working. Is this the end of the line? I can't open the program at all and don't know how to revert to the old. Thanks
  5. Currently on the trial license. If I decline to purchase V3, will I revert to 2.6 automatically? I'm running an already ultra-revealing rig (Metrum>Krell>Theil) and feel this version has taken away the 'magic' of 2.6. This is too clinical for my taste. It just doesn't 'flow'. Thanks
  6. Hi there. Metrum Musette user here.....will not work in 'direct mode' after macOS Sierra update. OSError=dmod Anyone else? Thanks
  7. I listen at low-mid volume and I agree that you get more from the Mimby as it's cranked up. Like anything the chain is important. For my tastes and system the delta sigma is the winner. Both the multibit and NOS require a little more volume to get the most from; the multibit Mimby has quite a bit more detail retrieval than my NOS Metrum at lower volume, but isn't nearly as organic and smooth. In terms of overall sound signature, the Mimby is closer to the delta sigma dac, and that may simply a function of price point than anything else.
  8. I had high expectations for this little guy. My delta-sigma Peachtree Dac-itx, however, is superior imo. I feel that female vocals suffer through both....that leading-edge chestiness that my NOS Metrum has zero of...compared with either. That is a more expensive dac of course. Where the Peachtree excels compared to the Mimby is in the attack of notes, transients. It has more rhythm and is more hard hitting. The Mimby excels in presenting a holographic, cloud-like soundstage that is hard to describe and may be a generic feature of the Schiit multibit platform. Right now the P'tree is winning me over in most ways. Just my opinion. The Mimby can, and will surprise you enough to make it worthwhile.
  9. Is it possible to roll back to a previous version? I hear better separation of instruments, but the soundstage seems a little less focused. Probably just hearing things, coupled with a budget system. And to the developers, great software!
