Jesus, I am talking about the OpticalModule (OM), not the OpticalRendu (OR). By any means, I had the full version OR not the LiteOR. When I troubleshooted the problem with you, you indicated that the issue lied with the OM not having flow control. If I recall correctly, I purchased my OM around end 2018/early 2019 timeframe. The flow control issue appeared when I purchased my Denafrips Terminator Plus DAC and HQplayer software in 2021. It was not possible to stream high bit rate DSD content. Jesus graciously offered to replace my OM with the new Deluxe OM (which now has flow control) in august 2021. Unfortunately, production issues caused by the pandemic has delayed the introduction of the OM Deluxe. After 16 months of wait time for the replacement of my OM and 4 months of wait time for the purchase of a second OM Deluxe, I decided to go another route with Lumin. Really unfortunate what the pandemic has caused to innovative small audio manufacturers such as Sonore. By any means, I really enjoyed my Sonore audio experience. They introduced revolutionary products which increased my musical enjoyment.

I upgraded to firmware v. 2.8 which was an improvement. However, I sold the Optical module since it could not handle data flow control. I put an order for a Deluxe Optical module which has data flow control. After delivery being delayed from month to month, I cancelled the order and simplified my system by selling all my Sonore gear. I am now using a Lumin U2 Mini streamer and all of my problems are now gone :-).

After reading some of Audiophilestyle posters comments, here is where I would bring my current system to below. However, not sure about the final position of the EtherRegen VS the OpticalModule. From what I am reading, it does not really matter. Comments are welcomed.

Thank you charlesphoto. I am aware of the delivery issues with the OpticalModule Deluxe.

I may also consider using a Microtik switch + 2 OpticalModule or Microtik switch + 1 EtherRegen + 1 OpticalModule. Another cost effective option, would be to sell my OpticalModule (first version) and purchase the new OpticalModule Deluxe, which some users have reported sounding better than the original version.

Thank you R1200CL. So EtherRegen/OpticalModule back-to-back should sound better than EtherRegen in solo?

Thank you Mike for your reply. If I recall correctly, there are a few postings on this forum regarding the EtherRegen VS OpticalModule. So from your standpoint the EtherRegen is superior to the OpticalModule?
